But to say the truth for UAC5 the JM6-DD is the chassis to go ;)

sure.

i personally ignore quirks. i play what is best for my style of play and what's fun for me and not let quirks dictate to me how i play - that's how the fun gets sucked out of playing the game. just because i'm the greatest manure shoveler of all time doesn't mean i'm interested in shoveling manure

The JM6-S is probably the one most likely to be a BoomJager (2xAC20) or GaussJager. The DD is well suited to triple UAC5 with that jam chance reduction, and the A fills the same role as most of the Catapults.

It is counterintuitive to the quirks but i run a build with 2 AC 10s, 4 MLs, and 2 MGs. This reduces your tonnage to output ratios... one AC 10 outputs same as 2 AC 5s sacrificing some range and cycle time for significant weight savings. I always prefer AC 10s over 5s for punch and single strike damage without getting into the liabilities of AC 20s.

But that's just me. I like my builds to be more flexible.

Nah, the Jager-A is better suited for dual AC20 or dual Goose, since 20% ballistic range and 10% ballistic velocity is great for such purposes.

If I have a build in mind i try to find the best chassis to go with it, but i'm with you when you say that quirks can be too much polarizing. Quirks should help to make fun build, and they do, but at the same time people should'nt feel bad for playing what they find fun.

Gauss and AC20 love cooldown reduction, and if AC20 can prefer +10% range as the distance is one of it's main weakness, us ally i find more interested in 7,5% cooldown from the JM6S

stock STD engine in JM-6S -> 2 AC5:s and 4 ML

like this

do not grind for an XL engine,JM6-DD has that covered,since you still need all 3 to elite the S.
