I went in to change my LRM 20 to Artemis. It cost 375,000 C-Bills to install. Then I got an alert that it was an invalid load out with no explanation as to what needed to change. Couldn't do anything except spend 125,000 more C-Bills to get back to non-Artemis... so 500,000 C-Bills, no change... unless I'm missing something?

Upgrading to Artemis also updates your weapons and ammo inside, if it caused a slot violation the mech is invalid. You should check if putting on Artemis affects your weapons inside it.

Artemis makes your launchers larger (needing one more crit slots). If you don't have enough room in your 'mech/the component with the launcher, you get an error.

Strips all missiles first though, at least it used to.
If the new mechlab has forgotten to do the strip then yeah this bug would happen.

Don't forget that LRM Launchers and A/LRM launchers are two different weapon systems. You must have Artemis to even equip the A/LRM. That change was implemented a long time ago. I haven't played with adding or removing Artemis with the new mechlab so It still could be something else.
