The new mechlab is pretty cool, but could still be improved.

Small Tweaks
  • Menu option: "Drag-and-drop adds equipment (no replacement)". This will make it so equipment is added when you drop something onto a slot, instead of replaced.
  • Drag and drop will replace any equipment overlapped by the new equipment, instead of placing the new equipment where the cursor is.
  • Clicking on an omnipod slot on expanded view will open the equipment menu for that omnipod (example: click "left arm" omnipod slot, opens the dropdown menu to select "left arm" omnipods).
  • New strip button: "Strip all omnipods". Alternately, strip omnipods when player clicks "strip equipment"
  • Limited edition modules (- LTD) will show up when you select the 'equipped weapons only' filter
  • "Strip equipment from all mechs"
  • "Strip cockpit items from all mechs"
  • "Strip modules from all mechs"
  • Toggle to show mech hit boxes with false color
  • Quirks displayed in a permanent window instead of requiring click/mouseover
  • Ability to edit a mech without selecting it for use in a drop
  • Edit CW drop deck from the mech lab, allow multiple named configurations
  • Module and cockpit editing better-integrated into the mechlab; treat the items like equipment and weapons are currently treated, without switching to a completely different screen.
Large Tweaks
  • Allow players to position their mechlab UI elements however they want (hotkey to edit UI, then drag and drop boxes where they want them to go).
  • Similarly, allow players to customize their category colors through menu options (for example: let people color 'Ballistics' however they want).
  • Load and save mech loadouts. Button to share them in chat; clicking the shared loadout will load that in the mechlab, even if the player doesn't own the mech. Loading a loadout will attempt to outfit the appropriate chassis with the same equipment and modules, just like building the mech by hand. These loadouts would be saved locally in the user's documents folder.
  • Similarly, ability to edit, save, and load loadouts of mechs that the player does not own - just like smurfy.
  • Mechlab should stay available during all phases of the game except for actually when in game. Window/tab should be selectable while searching for a match, while sitting in a CW lobby, while sitting in a private lobby, etc - just like smurfy.
  • Similarly, ability to open multiple mech lab tabs at once - just like smurfy.
  • Similarly, mech lab tabs would stay open and keep their information unedited after you return from a drop - just like smurfy.
