I think some mechs should be quirked to have their uac5s jam less. In my opinion it'd be more valuable than a cooldown buff, etc.

Or it could be a module or some kind of equipment even.

Some mechs basically have a non-jaming uac5, drg-1N being the standout.

How about UAC2-20 for clans also then? Give it quirks to a Dire Wolf to have 5% chance to jamm 6xUAC-5 -_-
Don't touch balance with little thought sugs <_<

I was thinking more for the IS side, I don't think an obvious T1 mech would get this quirk.

Don't mess with quirk and leave the weapon a piece of crap

make it a module - c-bill treshold - PGIs definition of end game content
make it a quirk -only some Mechs got it - and it will change on regular basis - for more C-Bills moneysinkbal

balance the weapons and fu with that silly double tap jam mechanic

Players have wanted PGI to fix the crazy jam rate for some time now. I agree that it'd be better to just fix the jam issue but PGI has been reluctant/uncaring, etc.

a module could be nice, but the UAC jams for a reason. otherwise it become a crazy DPS weapon and no one takes anything else. as it is they are still extremely popular on many builds. im sure some of us remember the days of the non-jaming UAC-5 Illya Muromets that fired a round every .3 seconds? no thank you.

I'm not talking about removing, just reducing. The drg-1n basically gets a lighter uac5 that never jams. So even with a quirk or module, it'd still jam.

Depends ... you simple can take the FU jam mechanic - go to the next brige - and throw it over the railing

give it a slightly better RoF (100-200ms faster) and we are done.

wait wait wait - the nobody would use a clan standard cannon

oh dear child - people using standard clan autocannons should go to the bridge and jump after that fu jam mechanic

Abether poll would have been to make fire mechenics like they used to or stay like it is today

I mean spaming the button to get the same result as it used to, its killing my mouse

if anything this weapon should burn out not jam.
only RACs had the ability to be unjamed.

so I say be thankful mwo creators didn't go with the real danger of over use of the uacs.

I would love to see this as both a quirk and a module. Frankly speaking, I sold off all my UACs save one because of their jamming. Unless you can boat them, they just aren't worth running. Case in point, I have a SHD with my last UAC on it (It's slated for removal and sale). I wanted to see how it worked with the UAC quirks. Well, it was underwhelming. The stupid thing jams like crazy, even right out of the gate. I'm glad PGI fixed it so that it won't jam on the first shot, but having it jam on the second shot is pretty frustrating, especially if it's the second shot of the match.

Seriously, I won't be using UACs again until there's something to mitigate this or they get a serious rework. I've spent a lot of time in the Training Grounds trying to perfect my usage of them, but it all boils down to random chance. That's not for me; give me something reliable like the standard AC/5 any day!

Well currently the jam quirks weren't implemented right. So for the time being they'll be underwhelming.

I never really tried the UAC5 until recently... And they definitely jam entirely too often... Several times, the first shot of the match jammed the damn thing. I thought it was only supposed to have a chance to jam if you double-tapped it?!?

I used it for a match or two, before tearing it back off and selling it... It's too unreliable a weapon to use by itself. 2+ may not be such a big deal, because you'll usually have at least one firing, but as a single weapon it is broken.
