So... latest patch I hear a lot of people complaining about hits not registering on targets.
At the same time my client is crashing because of file mismatches.
This got me to thinking... Is it possible that corrupt mech files in the patch could be breaking HSR? Perhaps not HSR itself but the hit box registration?

Ive heard/seen nothing but positives about hit registration. Especially with the clan AC buffs, whales seem to be melting people properly that stare at them.
I did notice something odd during patching, it said it was "repairing" some file but I took it with a grain of salt. I assumed it might have had something to do with my custom FOV setting.

I don't think so, people complain about hit registration since the Mechwarrior Reboot Trailer back in 2009.

I'm just asking cause of what other people have said not necessarily what I've experienced.
Would be nice if they fixed building rendering though; I hate shooting at a Zeus 500M away and hitting a non rendered structure.

My Hit Reg went down this patch. I normally have great Hit Reg, but last night I was whaling on Mechs pretty hard and they weren't taking much damage at all. There was also an abnormally high amount of warping and rubberbanding.

Wasn't there another thread about TTK being severely reduced due to improved HSR?
I think it's a bit too early to tell, really. One good indication would be to compare the average length of matches before and after this patch. It wouldn't be conclusive, but it could give us some idea. Of course, ain't nobody got time for dat.
