Ok day 1 impression's:
1: mech select is not the best but I can deal with it, however 1 possible bug is seems like regardless what mech you are currently in it defaults to IS mechs. Suggest that when mech select is hit it goes to your current chaises, if I'm in my dire let me go back to dire's being expanded. Just a minor concern here.
2: with expanded mode used in (don't remember resolution of top of my head) I can't see my mech to reflect weapon placement. Also in expanded view, when I expand mech stats can we make that box movable as it blocks leg and some torso and arm on the right (visual) side. Would love to expanded mech stats box movable and collapsed stats are jus fine where they are.
Lastly I'll suggest a feature:
Most may recall and remember there used to be 4 squares in lower left with ready mechs, click and go, maybe we can re visit it in the updated way. Using the selector we now have maybe add a button on left under weight classes and call it "Ready to drop" and have and option to select a mech after being built "would you like to make this mech listed in the ready to drop area?" This way I could build up module out what I'm ready to play right now in 1 easy to find area, could even be a simple check box in load out screen near the name or something.
All in all I'll give this new mechlab a 9 out of 10 with only mech selection holing it back
