i know there are some topics already but i thought i make some pictures because some people seem to think the complain about the mech selection means the whole new mechlab is bad

why cant we just make the old mech grid and when you hit the configure button button you get send into the mechlab

by clicking it we get into the new lab

would be easy and everyone would be happy
the old mechgrid where where you can find easely some mechs and it would be quick to change mechs even with more mechs in the bay

instead we got this

i wont say its bad because you got everything in sight when you search fore some spezific stuff on the mech like modules
but its just unhandy for selecting mechs fast there isnt even a tab for all the mechs
now i need to know is my mech is or clan and the name of the mech if im new with the game or bad with names or some stupid other reasons then i need to open all the tabs just to find my mech that i want to play for 1 -2 rounds and then repeat for the next mech
its just a click fest

and btw is it just me or does the new XP icon looks a bit out of place?

I do like the original presentation over this one. It's clunky and hard to use.

The mech selection is good if you know what you're piloting before you open the game. However, if you want to peruse the shopping isle it's definitely not as optimized.

I like having the smurfy style load out. I don't think anyone should find fault in that. It will - in time - be fixed for larger resolutions. For the rest of us who don't have triple 4k screens, it's all cool beans.

um. I'm not saying its bad or anything, but I liked the way the old mech lab was easy to scan mechs and see quirks, it just didn't seem as cluttered as the new one imho!

I feel being able to filter out IS mechs pays for any other minor inconvenience. There is always room for improvement, but I have yet to run across a situation that had me longing for the old UI setup.
