It makes no sense to me why resistance owners are voting for mechs they already own. Why are you guys not voting for one of the new variants that no one owns. The 4 newly released mechs all come with extra armor that the original ones don't because of new quirks.

They're voting for a 'Mech they own because they're hoping they can be the one whose build ends up (semi-)immortalized as a Champion 'Mech, thus granting them semi-official status as a Master of that 'Mech.

And also some of them are trying to vote for 'Mechs that would actually be good, solid choices for newer players to own. As well, just because this will be the first Champion 'Mech released from the Resistance models doesn't meant it'll be the next champ 'Mech. The extra variants will get their appointed period of exclusivity by hook or by crook.

That said, still considering my vote. I kinda want it to be a Grasshopper, but the last time I checked the poll one of the Zeus variants was ahead of everything else by, like, fifteen votes. Depressing. Nobody cares about Zeuses, especially champ Zeuses that won't have useful weights of XL engine in them.
