So this is really my first post here, but I just wanted to share that in PuGs I found that they are surprisingly receptive to commands. And while I may die leading a charge I still help call out commands after that. Now that I've started to call out commands win percentage as gone way up. And most matches I get complimented on orders given.

I am really starting to enjoy the game now that every match isn't a steam roll, sometimes I feel bad that we steam roll the other teams.

People are indeed usually receptive to command if they don't know any better and the commander is sure about what he/she is doing.
