I find it happening rather frequently that you enjoy playing with a couple of guys from a PUG oe CW drop.
If you want to add them to your friends list, you need to note down their names manually and quickly before you get "thrown back" from the mission summary page, where all members and their results from the recent drop are listed, to the MechLab.

It would be really nice if one could simply click on Checkboxes behind names and after that simply select a "Send friends request" button to send such a request. Of course, names that are already listed in your own friends list should not receive a request, and that can happen if you e.g. usually send friend requests to members of your own house or clan.
