Hey all, been playing almost 2 months now and I am starting to have a positive KD and having more fun. I am also going to pick up the 2 new packs coming out because the game just gets better all the time because of other friendly pilots and the skill level raising :) My question is this. I have watched a lot of vids and I have noticed that some pilots seem to be sitting further back in the cockpit. It seems like I may be zoomed a little but I am not. Is there a way to change the view where you sit further back in the cockpit like this video? here is what my current view looks like and I play on a large monitor with the res at 1920 so I know its not that.

You are referring to the Field of View (FoV) setting. Since last patch, it is available directly in the MWO client, under Settings > Game > First Person FOV. Typically used values vary between 75 and 90, depending on your preference and monitor format. The edges of your view will become distorted at about 80 FoV, and it will become more visible the higher you go.

I do recommend looking up the suggested FoV for your resolution settings, but then dropping in Testing Grounds and fiddling with the setting slightly to adjust it to taste. You may find that a point or two one way or the other feels better for you personally, compared to the suggested value.

The funny thing is i'm ok when watching high FOV videos on youtube but using them myself gives me motion sickness. Not sure why.

Cockpit glass...i don't remember how to change it, been wanting to remove that.

Yep, in the Settings (cog icon, bottom right of main screen) it's on the first screen (Game) in the top section (Mech).
