I was thinking, it was cool to be able to register and hold your pilots name, how about giving us the ability to do the same for the for the group of players you intend on gaming with?

Wouldn't be surprised if something like that comes down the pipe eventually. I agree though, that would be cool. In-game support for unit metrics would be pretty neato and it'd probably help light the competitive spirit some more. As someone who is a self-avowed 'competitor' this kind of blatant e-peening supported by in-game stats appeals to me. Not going to lie about it.

I think its a good idea, but I dont think they will do it until they know how they will deal with the Canon unit issue. How the program Logic will work from keeping people from registering as Wolf's Dragoons or the ELH and so on.

You shouldn't be able to register Wolf Dragoon's or ELH, its part of the games history but you should be able to register your own made clan name and be able to align with these or different factions, if you choose.
