Must Be Stupid But: How Can I Buy A Mech Now With That New "improved U.i."?!

I can only select MY mechs, and the Trials ones.
Where can I buy NEW ones?!
Seriously, it was pretty easy with the Wall of Mech, but now it's... Seriously, how in the world did they manage to make it hard to find?!

Store now handles everything that needs to be bought, including mechs and mechbays. Purchasing mechs via the Store tab is now slightly easier than the old UI.
Checking mechbay inventory unfortunately can only be done via the Store tab. It does seem to make sense on hindsight since the only time you need to check is when mechs are purchased.

I REALLY doubt that.
I am currently watching... And heck it's bad.
Seriously, why did they get ride of the Wall of Mech?! You could actually see easyly the kind of mech you wanted! Now it's just a list of name with no kind of picture. Seriously, it's horrible to watch!
At least before if I wanted a Crab or an Enforcer I only had to the mechs who were enforcer and after that just selecting here.

I have been with that U.I. since month.
In ALL the freakings F2P MOBA I played. The STORE was ONLY for PREMIUM content -the exception being World of Tank, but that game got at least a decent U.I.)
No, it make more sense to me to buy a new mech in the place were ALL THE MECHS ARE REPERTORIED..
Seriously, it's not even good at the moment. Seriously, Store... Than Battlemechs, Then the Chassis...
Seriously, before it was just "MechLab", and "Non Owned" and BANG, you had all the mech appearing in front of you and you just had to make your choice.

To the question above, you can outfit mechs you do not own in the store mech lab,you can not purchase them modified though, the only purchase button is on the small icon before you load the mech lab. However you an make changes that are beyond your current budget.
If they add the ability to save layouts.... And assign unequiped stuff to a pool, we could fit mechs EVE style, much faster.

Tired of clicking first in "Dire Wolf" just to see them while before I could see them directly.

Everyone wants that and they are aware of it. The new form is just faster to get a certain mech than scrolling through 100s of pictures.

No, it's longer.
Why does everybody want it back for you? For the style? Or maybe because it was better that way?

The point about pictures in the store is pretty valid.

I want it back too, as additional option.
It is only faster when you know exactly where the wanted mech is, because you have a wall of mech pictures. The current option is fast because you remove chassis you don't want with every click by filtering them.
Though you can do the same with a wall of mechs with appropriate filters.

I didn't know i could do that, should have tried it before i bought my grasshoppers.

I agree that this new format is better. In my case i could go straight for the grasshoppers and purchase all at one shot without having additional clutter.
In the old format all the mechs by weight categories were bunched together and not in order or weight nor alphabetical order. Plus, if i wanted to purchase all 3 variants of the grasshopper i had to do the same steps 3 times : mechlab - purchasable - heavies - click on buy button. The owned mech info doesn't update unless you returned to the main page either, which means if i'm not careful i might purchase the exact same mech i bought earlier by mistake.
That is less likely to happen in the new format, it is updated once purchased.

Since when is a game so convoluted that the player base needs to make a youtube tutorial on how to use the most basic part of the game they play. To go further, if this is so complicated then why isn't PGI doing it themselves. (EVE, I'm looking at you with this as well.)
tl,dr - Making joke about tutorials being missing/useless

I do see your point here.
Do note as well, that for every mech introduced there are at least 3 variants of it added into the game. This is bound to overwhelm any new player unfamiliar with Battletech. Not all the changes are great, but at least the mechs are more organised and new players can tinker with mechs before deciding whether they wished to purchase (a good thing i say).
Hopefully any future changes would be :
1. Easy to use and navigate
2. Simple for all users to understand.
For now, we'll have to make do with player made tutorials. And learn to adapt.

But in the old way, it was for buying both premium and c-bill content. It also had mechs for mc on top making it harder to find stuff you could buy with cbills. I understand what you are saying about the store because I thought the same thing. Except when I thought about it, because of the fact the old UI had both in the same place, it actually kind of makes sense.
I should also point out that the old way was very disorganized and didn't let you put things in order. Now it is better and easier to find stuff IMHO.
