I was in a match tonight in the solo queue. It turned out we stomped the other team 11-1. Last guy is a DWF and he's DC'd. So we find him and I say on coms, "why not leave that kill for a Resistance mech, so they can up the kill counter." and this guy responds, as he head shots the DWF, "I don't give kills to pay-to-win players"

So I say: "Hey they're feeding the game."

He responds "F**k you and your money."

He's driving a c-bill mech of course.

So what's the hostility towards players who support the game and keep it free for everybody else?

If a person hates the game that much and resents the paying players that much, why bother hanging around torturing themselves? Why not simply leave and play a fun game?

Seems like the height of stupid to me.

I'd like to know which Resistance mech is P2W, because all of them seem to be outclassed by at least one or more C-Bill mechs within their weight class.

his/she obviously got their head up his bottom to think (R1) mechs are pay to win or are they butt hurt cos they don't have the $$$ to purchase it. hmm vote for a champion mech if (R1) owners reach their kill count bleh, the real money/space bucks is in hero mechs.
besides I can't think of any mechs in the game today that is pay to win, the dragon slayer may have come close back when the meta poptart was the thing. the grid iron is pretty cool, mighty good 50% gausse cool down goin' on there, but all the hunckies have good quirks.

Seen this "FU" attitude and a constellation of other gripes since the very first cries of pay to win. In a few cases it came from people with a very simple beef against pay to win... it worked on them, they spent too much on some product, didn't manage to buy that feeling of victory they wanted, stared at financial ruin from playing too many days of WOW and decided never again, no more subscriptions, fees anything... its all just a trap,a scam, a ruse. They still play games, even obsessively - but ask for them to suppport a piece of software they enjoy, that someone put months and years of design and programming into and HELL NO! Funny thing was, almost immediately I heard same things screamed about the next game and the next after, and the next. SC had the thousands of dollars starship porn, which induced fits. While it was defended by those who said anything you could buy in SC w real money, you could also find, obtain etc in game - it didnot change that people like this screamed pay to win, they always do. Often, they then pay it cause they want it, all the while hating that they are doing so, griping and groaning.

you tried to establish a privilege system where people with ® mechs are allowed to have kills (i.e. scores, stats and c-bills) before any other player and at their expense, obviously it met some grudge and resistance from those who do not get that privilege
