it's ok to clean cheaters from your unit but it's absolutely not ok to throw your comrades to piranhas i.e. to inform pgi about your unit members

on that we will have to disagree. Cheaters get offered up on a stake. Not only does it keep the game clean, it keeps your unit above reproach. Any unit that would hide cheaters leaves people wondering if they are still cheating themselves.

What a lovely sentiment. Shared by war criminals and dirty cops everywhere. Being an upstanding citizen, stand up guy, trustworthy individual is everyone's obligation. Some people, like you apparently, are not up to the challenge .

Cheaters just don't harm their teams they harm the entire player base. By not turning them in you are just as bad as they are.

Animus41,

I completely agree against cheating.......

Though I completely feel a company should treat people respectfully, especially when requiring it of their customers in game.

I would not defend a friend who cheated because then I would be seen as a cheater myself. Birds of a feather and all that. By cheating they have harmed themselves and all those around them and therefore deserve no protection from me.

"finking" what is this, 2nd grade? Cheaters have no friends.

See, here's my question.

OP, what do you wish to happen? Do you wish for PGI to temporarily ban anyone they deem to be "harassing" another player? Do you wish for temp-bans for someone harassing another specifically for cheating? Do you wish for temp/perm mutes for the "perpetrators"?

Yes, it is unfortunate that you have this experience. However, what can be done?

I'll tell you the easiest way. Also probably your least favorite.

Ignore the fools!

Okay, so that one probably won't work. Try this! Individually mute the players that are giving you trouble.

Didn't read the entire thread, but you've received plenty of support from other players. Was that your objective?

I don't intend to be rude, but I see absolutely no reasonable solution to prevent you from this experience, other than measures you can take yourself (but probably won't).

it's silly

you just made me despise 228
not like i liked them before but to betray their unit members to pgi for cheating...

and, wait, this finking is considered as the proper behavior to avoid the public blame? omg -_-

If I caught a friend embezzling from a company we worked at together, I wouldn't hesitate to turn them in. I don't have felons as friends.

Same goes for video games. I don't knowingly have friends that cheat. If a friend of mine is willing to cheat, our morals don't match up and I can't consider them a friend at all.

I think the people harrassing you should stop OP, but I'm not going to lie and say that I will trust anyone using the tag. I will not - it's human nature to suspect if you don't know all the facts (facts that would exhonerate existing members, I mean).

I guess you should be able to expect/request that people don't say anything about your unit or harass it, but you can't expect them to trust it.

seriously, what legit reason is there to share accts? I know of a well known forumite and his lackeys who did it back in an early tournament, so that he could outgrind everyone to win, which of course, is cheating...but can't really think of a "legit" reason one would share accts? Something is just off with that, or am I missing something?

They didn't break their own rules. Those individuals were life banned, and thus no longer customers or members of the MWO community. And thus, not covered by Name and Shame policies.

really obvious answer...some people have money for all the big stompy robots...some people need to grind cbills...
that person grinding cbills...needs a fkload of games due to how PGI has "balanced" the game so its clearly P2W...
ofcourse they only emulate WoT in the **** way...
couldnt have huge maps and proper foilage/etc that would be way to good for PGI

Cheaters have no respect for the game, respect for other players and most of all have no self-respect so they should not be treated respectfully when they are caught and banned.

Chuck,

In order to move forward you must first show an attempt to fix it ...... That is how the system works. You must also show the parties knew about it and did not stop the in game AND out of game / PUBLIC aspect of their said actions. But I agree with the intent of your statement.

Um, cowards are people who do nothing. Betrayers are people who sellout their friends and family for personal gain. You seem to have a really weird take on what it means to be an adult.

no, they didn't, they didn't intentionally hurt their units, if anything they tried to help them

also who did you the right to speak for 'all honest gamers'? i'm a honest gamer and dislike those who inform administrators about their cheating friends way more than cheaters

p.s. i like how you admitted your cowardice.. may be there a hope for you

I'm confused here. Listening to the match it was obvious this was guy pretending to talk like a girl. Why do people keep calling him "she" ? Did he have a sex-change? I thought moderate pudding was a male.

Whether ModPud had a chromosome sequence of XY or XX and the parts to match, she preferred to be called a she, so that's what I call her. It's not my place to tell someone what they can or can't be called.
