Hi All
Not played for a fair amount of time, been any big changes I should be aware of and is it worth jumping back in?
Just to give you an idea thay had only JUST started to launch community warfare when I got busy with other stuff so would love to hear how that worked out...
Thanks!

Mechlab has been updated!
Click on the layout dropdown when you go to the mechlab, towards the top on the mechlab!!
That is reason enough to go look!
Beyond that... everything is pretty similar... small updates, seems like they are gearing down to add cw missions and so on.

CW. Lots of new maps in the community warfare. Some nerfing of the top three Clan mechs which people are overreacting to now that they need to think while playing.

The general CW population (not the weekend event only players collecting bribes rewards) peaked around 3 months ago (only 13.5% of MWO players according to Russ Bullock) and seems to have declined since.

I find Community Warfare to be fun an awesome. Really the only reason I keep coming back.
You should give it a go, only way you'll know.

Thanks all for the feedback, had a shot of CW last night and it gave some purpose to the game that I have not seen before.
Will prob play a bit off and on and see how I go.
Interestingly the game play is not particularly different ( I still suck in heavy mechs, ruin people's day in light ones
)

Nothing personal, but thats normal with australia 300ms ping. i always wonder, why last spider/raven can survive constant fire of around 4-6 mechs at the end of a match..... well, lagshield.

Lag shield doesn't really help a mech to well. In most cases it means you are in a light mech trying to avoid fire, turn around that corner, and try to come back over a ridge and alpha an enemy. Instead what happens in game is you ran into a wall and fired at it 5 times where you suddenly teleported there and realised why your marker didn't turn red.
That and Australias normal ping is 240, not 300.
and trust me when I say this... lag shield doesn't really help the person with the internet problems, it often makes it quite more easier to kill them, especially with a flamer (if you used a flamer just when you had a lag spike, your flamer will keep shooting until you die from excessive heat. The shutdown doesn't even save you for some odd reason with this, if it's like you are on overide but not, the flamer was already a near useless weapon before hand, but with people who have poor internet using a flamer would be more risky then using a Gauss rifle on an XL raven with no armour...)
