The Clans mechs when i play them and when i play against them feel much stronger post UAC buff than they ever were prior despite the slight nerf the Madcat & Stormcrow got.

Especially noticeable is the increased DPS all clan mechs put out with UACs and the further side efffect of the UAC buff is that clan mechs are now harder to track and hit due to the shake and fire effects the Clan UAC have which is much more pronounced than for IS AC due to the multiple bursts they fire.

You know the dps didn't change, right?

Other than requiring a slightly more amount of caution when engaging them, I'm having no problems what so ever.

You aren't suggesting Burst fire makes cACs better, are you?

Eh, most of the deadliest Clan mechs are still based on huge laser alphas, Gauss, SRMs, or some combination thereof. The main exception here is the Dire Whale, which was always brutal even with pre-buff UACs.

I'd trade reduced Clan UAC cockpit shake in exchange for a velocity bump or something like that. Smaller projectiles are the justification for both changes. Deal? ^_^

Actually, since the cooldown time starts after the burst is completed, a shorter burst does result in a slightly faster firing cycle. It's the same way for lazors.

That being said, the real significance here is tighter clusters and fewer missed pellets at moderate-longer ranges.

99% sure it starts as soon as you fire. The only difference is now you can double tap quicker.

The cooldown bar only starts after the last bullet leaves the barrel. The difference is fairly small, but it's existent.

Good. Now the UACs aren't total trash and they might have an excuse to run something beside Gauss and LaserVomit.

I was just trying to test, but they come out of the barrel so fast it's hard to eyeball. When they were coming out slower I never noticed the bar not moving while the shells were coming out.

I did quite a bit of testing looking for the best time to double tap in order to reduce jam chance last year.

Funny... this "buff" does the following:

Less easy to spread damage
reduces ammount of time enemy is going to have a shakey screen.

Compairing this to IS AC's... this is actually a nerf to the clans. as the only noticeable advantage clan UAC's had is nerfed. This is kinda ironic, kinda like the Pretty baby's former deceleration quirk which increased it, making it able to use it's momentum to get up to placers no other assault can.

so less easy to spread damage is a nerf...and you'd pack 10-12 ton guns to shake things? Seems....inefficient.

can't pack enough ammo for me to trust it. But it sure does seem vicious until it runs out.
