Here's a thought that I've been kicking around for a while but didn't consider voicing until I saw the Resistance II Mechs. How about devising a pack, whether it's a two-Mech or four-Mech pack, that is all of one weight class? This would be similar to the Sabre Reinforcements pack (2 Medium Mechs). The Resistance II pack is essentially all energy (aside from Mauler). That makes a good energy based pack for energy fans. If there was a pack that was 2 or 4 Lights (Meds, Heavies, Assaults, etc), then that would cater to Light pilots. It would also be a bit cheaper than a 4-Mech pack of varying chassis weights and need not necessarily be a big pre-order thing; but could be released in the Gift Store, much like the Cataphract 0X.

Also, it would be interesting if PGI developed a mix-and-match pack editor. You could select, for $80, four IS chassis already available for C-bills of four different weights (or four Clan ones for $120), just as if it was a new pack being releasing, essentially creating your "own" Mech pack. This would not make it available to everyone; just you. Think of it as A-la-carte on a full-pack scale. It could still have the banked Premium with it and the Mechbays.

What do y'all think?
