I Am Loving My Enf-4R Enforcer!

Anyhow, out of the 3, must admit, the 4R is my favorite. has the most versatile hardpoints, and definitely the most useful quirks. About the only thing it can't do is run as fast as the others, but IMO, anything above a 280 or so, feels like a waste, as it really reduces the firepower. And it just doesn't NEED to be that fast.
My build is nothing fancy, it's simple, and effective in it's simplicity.

Maybe because I'm used to using the ERPPC/LB-X combo on my SUmmoner, but I just find the 1-2 punch is solid, and the heat, manageable.
It ain't gonna replace my HBK-4G(F), but it makes for a very fine change of pace skirmisher.

I think the 5D would be better if they'd just give it the same quirks as the CN9-D, at least with the LBX.
The 5P is just... eh. I've had some good matches in it but I tend to get frustrated with it. One energy hardpoint just doesn't feel like enough.

Never really broke 300 damage too often though.
I'm still figuring how to run mediums though, easier to get good scores in my Thud 5S (running nearly stock guns, no cheese).

It is definitely the most useful of the three variants. It's a little on the warm side, I think a 1.23 heat eff in the 'mechlab, but I have the arm and torso lasers grouped seperately to help manage the heat. I find it to be a capable skirmisher and late game finisher. I don't have them elited yet, still working basic-ing the 5P (we're not friends...), but I am anxious to see how much it improves w/ Elite/2x Basics.

4R is a 2LPL & 3 MPL Version of the old Wubverin.
5P it kept the 2 UAC5. Yes it is not good for poking etc. but if they ignore you (they do that surprisingly often) you can really hurt them.
5D has 2 AC5 & 3ML. Nothing special.
I like their mobility, their appearance (although a head like in the concept art would be awesome) and the quirks are ok.
Nothing overpowered what you have to play, but good enough to have fun with them.

I totally agree, man. The ENF-4R is wicked! I am really glad I purchased the whole pack, instead of just the Zeus; I love my PNT-10K and ENF-4R. Definitely keepers.

I did the same with the 5D, cant recall the engine size but it runs at about 99kph and I like the LBX 10 w/module fine, I like to be in close as a playstyle and lights legs are so much easier ro hit with my shotgun.

When I get the chance to grind them, I'm sure to let you know if it's the "optimal" 50 tonner.

You used a 280XL, because my 5D runs that exact same speed. Works great!

Well, with my second game, I hit 3 kills, 4 assists, all with only 291 damage. Clearly that PPC is spreading damage less than the 5 ML's I was using. Thanks for the build!

2 LL, 3 spls, Standard 260 (max engine size), 3 jjs.
I suppose you could use medium lasers, but I find the small pulses but in better work in a brawl. I do arrange my LLs that way, one in the higher torso slot for hill peaking, and I keep them on separate firing buttons.
I tried an AC 10 version, with an XL engine, and I did well enough in them, but with this one, I've done some mean mean things.
Yeah, it sucks its capped at 260, but 93 kph works just fine for me.

As much as I like the 4r I can not see it replacing my GRF or Shd with out some major quirking. The panthers on the other hand I can't find one I do not like and I hope the rest of the pack is awesome. I have high hope for the GrassHopper.

The 4R I've had my best performances in, even though I'm not terribly good with an AC/10. (I do most of my shooting with UAC/5 or AC/20, and don't always adjust right to the 10). I think it probably is the strongest ENF.
That said, I've had the most *epic* games in the 5D - ones where I'm among the last couple of 'mechs standing in razor-close battles. Having a big, semi-auto shotgun really late in the game can make a decisive difference. Because I tend not to shoot the LB10-X at all early on, I tend to left-side peek more, and therefore end the game with a lot more armor remaining on the 'mechs vitals.
I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite. I think the Enforcer will be the first new 'mech I've gotten in a long time where I'll be keeping all three variants after Mastery.
