I simply don't like the fact they use another social platform to post pics... I'm not registered there and have no plan to do so only to follow MWO so I hope they will also post the pics on twitter.

First picture is Lauren Bamlett, a texture artist. I find it cool they present the artists to us like this.

I don't think there's an issue with them using another platform, but there is an issue with a lack of centralization.

I really think someone needs to step up and make an external media and communication thread. Add links to the reddits (well, the one that isn't filled with a seething, burning hatred of PGI), twitter, facebook and the other stuff. Somewhere like a dev tracker, but more comprehensive and up to date, that lists all PGI posts on other platforms.

Maybe a whole new sub forum.

imo pics which are related to development should be doubled here, as for their faces and views i don care how they or their office look they can keep them from here if they want

If I were to hazard a guess, they don't want to centralize all their stuff because they want as many players as possible to follow them on all the different social media, not just check out their website. They probably want as many Instagram followers as possible, and they know people like me won't follow them on Instagram if I can just find the pictures on the forum.

Btw, someone at PGI has a serious fetish for crotch plates. What's going on?

Why would they post them here, this site is so 2010. Most modern games have monthly issues of awesome wall papers and phone back grounds and ring tones. We get an uber elite radio feed on the front page ~ doh.

Maybe we were too angry for too long and they just decided to let us have it. Keeps the rabble collected if they think maybe one day it will return to use. All the meanwhile, the other venues are left relatively unscathed.

while i'm all for getting the message out about this game if they manage to fix the underlying problems it has, instagram? shouldn't they be looking for something that is a common thread with their playerbase first, since a shared social platform would help to get new players on board?

it's a holdover from many anime 'mech cliches. a lot of them have the gyros balancing the 'mech down there, which is a sensable choice. pointless in battletech, since we know the gyros are slightly above the waist, which is part of the reason quads work (not that we'll SEE quads in this game, not that i'd be opposed to seeing 'mechs build around circle strafing and juking incoming fire)
