So in PUGS. I take command. Sometimes with STELLAR results with a little luck and people that listen. Sometimes. Well. Herding cats. The issue is exacerbated though, when I am in the middle of assigning waypoints or target grids, I inexplicably get removed from command. HATE THIS! Anyone else experience this?

I normally take command myself. Keep it simple and if you can convince them not to run away and get to the front you're doing about as well as you can. Natually of course you do hit games with extremely talented players that really don't need any guidance at all.

Never seen this issue though. Maybe it happened to me once no that I think about it, possible I just hit a bad button though.

I'm more confused when people just auto assign command to me just because I have a founders tag and offer reasonable sounding suggestions for plans :(

There are still bugs.

For example, something to do with using jump-jets can make you take command. No idea what it is, but the bug still exists. There are also bugs that cause you to lose command.

Personally, I think int he solo queue, the company command should be able to be revoked if the majority of players vote to remove that person from having it.

In pugging as long as they are not trolling with the take/drop for the button noise. It doesn't matter.

OP, I don't know how you are losing it. But sometimes I end up with it for some reason midway through a match on occasion.

Probably a bug of some sort.

Taken command a few times this weekend on Terra Therma, as was getting annoyed with map and same results (i.e. loss).

I found issuing orders by typing harder but more players listen. As lots of players do not know how to use battle map.

Also issued same suggestions when not taking command with similar results. Sadly hit & miss with PUG matches.

What I found funny with one player who did not listen and did his own thing, complaining about lack of support during the fight. When most of the team listened to what I had to say and we won.
Go figure.

Sometimes well placing a marker on the map is just enough to make that 1 or 2 mechs move there, and the others will follow the herd mentalty naturally. It's worth trying, as long as your commands are well put and make sense (it's also a bit of a gamble).

Now while we're on the topic, I'd like to ask one thing, when you issue commands you have 3 options to put: alpha, bravo and charlie. Now I've been using up to all three at once, to mark important locations or more precise flanking waypoints, now I don't know if all the pugs can see all three commands at once or are these meant you have to put them for each lance seperately? Because I remember only seeing 1 company command on the map at the time whenever I receieved them.

While voting is great (yay democracy), once the match gets underway (in just a few seconds for lights)...

You don't even need jump jets. Mash the jump jet button the right (or wrong?) way and it automatically gives you lance command, or unit command, or takes it away. Just a bug.

Mostly i think that is from accidentally hitting the B when hitting space. If I remember right B takes and gives away command.

I hate when you get a team of people that don't even respond to any chat at all whatsoever and you watch as a large portion of them commit suicide or do something really dumb.
