So, I've started to undertake a mammoth, and slightly insane project.
I don't know how long the full part will take, but the first is done.

I am cataloging all mechs and variants available in 3052 (technically 3055, for my Tabletop collections sake, but 3052 for here)

I've completed for the Mechs that are already in MWO - the below chart is all the additional Variants we could have in game, right now.

The Commando I find interesting, as it has a Ballistic slot. Same for the Cicada, as it has 8 Jump Jets.
The Firestarter FS9-S1 and Stalker STK-3Fb with their ECM could cause huge balance issues.

The Zeus ZEU-6Y has a Binary Laser Cannon, which could be implemented with 2 Large Lasers, or by adding the Blazer to the game (2LL weight, heat, stats, etc 1.5LL damage).

Everything else is just more variety.

This is the chart for all Mechs in game.
Bolded are the variants not-in-game.
Spoiler

Some of these are pointless, i.e. the LCT-3D. That one is just an LCT-1M with Ferro and Endo.

We do have some IS OmniMechs in 3052, namely the Raptor. I'll accept a Raptor in lieu of the Flea, complete with all of the limitations an Omni should have.

Bonus points if they build it like this for extra derp factor:

Oh, many are pointless, that's for certain sure.
Numerous could feasibly be made anyway.
But then, so can a number of existing mech variants.

For existing mechs in MWO, there's no particular reason to not have the extra options available.

The next task is to go through all the mechs that aren't in MWO yet....

Oh, what I would do for an AWS-9Ma with ECM... to take back our galaxy. :(

Some added notes: ON1-K(Kerensky) has a Snub-Nose PPC. This mech was the basis of the ON1-P Protector hero.

Blazer is close, but not exactly replicated by 2 LL (damage, 1 ton less).

BL-9-KNT has a hatchet.

Grand Dragon models could be folded into the Dragon for tree purposes.

Sidenote: JM6-DG is 3054, canon dual gauss Jager.

-edit- This is just off the top of my head, mind you.

Several variants of the Fire Falcon, Huntsman, Night Gyr, Linebacker, Crossbow, Kingfisher, and Turkina are available in 3052 as well.

I just want mah Night Gyr. The power must creep, we clearly need a new heavy to compete with the Ebon Jaguar. :P

I would buy that jumping Cicada in a heartbeat.

I wish ECM wasn't nearly so game-altering/OP so that we could get those ECM mechs without potentially breaking balance :(

Blazer could still be done.

I did remove the Kerensky from implementable units.

And it actually says 3054 in my chart... I just forgot to delete it for here....
Same for the Knight.

Ah well, cba to change it now!

Also, what I forgot in the OP, and is pretty big...

Mauler has ONE canon variant.
One variant is another mech (The MX90 is a Daboku, which was a predecessor), and the other 2 are PGI.

There's several 2 mechs now, and Royal variants are in.

This frees up a LOT of options.

It's a BJ variant with missiles.

  • BJ-2 The BJ-2 was introduced in 3052 by the Federated Suns as the new production model of the Blackjack, based on earlier experimental designs. It upgrades the 'Mech with two Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Large Lasers in place of the autocannons and removes the medium lasers for four Hovertec Streak SRM-2 launchers, two each in the left and right sides of the torso. One ton of ammo for the launchers is kept in the left torso while the standard heat sinks were upgraded to double heat sinks.[7] [note, the BJ-2 was errata'd to use double heat sinks by FASA Corporation after its release] BV (1.0) = 858[3], BV (2.0) = 1,148

Do you want a list of mechs for 3052 that aren't in the game yet?

SSW isn't always accurate, but it has nice search parameters (Example, Fire Falcon is listed 3056 in SSW, but 3052 on a website. As such, it may be in timeline.)

MUL is better than SSW and is available for free, you just can't check the loadout.

Also, the best IS heavy in that list, the STK-4P, 75 ton Stalker with one less energy hardpoint, do want.
PGI, I CAN HAZ JUMPING CICADA?
