Sometimes I wonder if they created 'mechs like the Pretty Baby just so they could point to it and say: "Look! See? Hero 'mechs are definitely NOT pay to win!"

I can settle for great (ER)PPC cooldown and heat quirks. Then my 2x(ER)PPC/3xSSRM2 Mystery Babe can once again be the ECM hunter-killer it used to be.

Ouch, that's like medium mech weaponry. I think I can dig up a Centurion AL with nearly the exact same loadout!

Awesomes are just terrible. They need some ridiculous quirks to at least put them in a place where they aren't giant super hot targets putting out pathetic amounts of damage. This isn't limited to the Pretty Baby. They all suck.

I have had the most consistent success with using it as an LRM boat with laser backup. It can't carry enough to get a heat penalty and its reduced tube quantity on the arm allow it to fire in groups that are more likely to hit and cause endless impulse. Its fast and great for taking out smaller mechs. The problem with most larger mechs is, while it can do damage, and do it fast, most of it is DoT or spread out a lot at short range.

People say its good enough, a lot say it isn't. One person said that one more hard point would be overdoing it. I really don't think so. While it fires at ridiculous rates with energy weapons and pretty fast with missiles as well, it still lacks the overall damage potential to be consistent against most heavy and assault mechs. That's not saying that you can't play it well. Its not saying that its a challenging assault to get right. It just happens to be running a pretty dated loadout. Most other mechs of its size or bigger have either more hardpoints or have at least one ballistic hardpoint. It is an interesting mech that plays like a medium, with a loadout/damage potential/speed of a medium/small heavy but the body of an assault.

I don't think it would make the thing op at all if, lets say, two more missile points were added either ct or in its missile arm. Even if the tube size was still 4, it would improve its potential to do damage and keep up with some of its contemporaries. These locations would also encourage the use of smaller missile weapons so it doesn't become a carbon copy of another AWS, just different locations. It would have 3 energy(2 large, one small point) and 5 missile(1 15 tube, 4 4 tube). That's just me.

I have had success with it in the past, but I basically found other AWS models more to my liking. It is like the Commando of assaults-fast as hell, but less hardpoints then most everything else its size. Both mechs are among my favorites. I know mechs aren't all equal, but I have found that it is a mech of few builds and fewer effective ones. That's probably what gets on my nerves the most.

If you run anything lkess than 80kph in the pB, you shouldn't be driving a PB

It's all about using those LL at range then dancin round a bunch in close

all you hacks just can't drive it right :P
