The special geometry on the Cauldron born is a larger hitbox?

Other than that, the mech looks great.

It would only add to the hitbox if you're looking at it from the side... On the plus side, it would better shield the C torso... But, that would only even come into play if it lost the arm first. Those arms are kind of huge...

alright, F* it... I upgraded to the Koala pack. I've blown $30 on more frivolous things... Maybe it will be good... At the very least, it will be interesting... I really hope it doesn't cause issues with my early adopter, and my early early adopter on my CB pack... But, if it does, I'm sure PGI will take care of me :3

Yeah, thinking I may go Koala too. It's much thinner than I expected, and hopefully that crotch is set up thong style. Still. . Yeah, may as well go all in.

i would trade the Executioner with its to low placed weapons for my taste for the Blood Asp anytime, or for a Supernova
With ist lousy capacity for equipment and Weaponry the Executioner will have the same Probs as the Gargoyle,
But with some tinkering in the Mechlab it may be an aceptable Pulsebrawler as the Gargoyle is

I thought that they were supposed to be shoulder-mounted? Or at least like 2 of them. Even that untextured render from the past has 2 shoulder beams.

They're different variants, just like how the Timber A has high mounted shoulder energy, but the other variants have it low mounted.

Am i the only one that thinks the invasion version is going to be at a serious hitbox disadvantage compared to the non-invasion model?

in other words: you want the 30% cbill bonus...fine... but your mech should be uglier and dies more easily... facepalm.

It makes sense though... original model is created by master alex. the unique one is modelers take on being creative.

Personally, I think the Invasion geometry looks sexier, and it doesn't really alter the hitboxes that much - the added surface area appears to be fairly negligible.

As usual, the first shots by PGI are GREATLY distorted in their FoVs...

(When are they gonna hire Lordred to do the screenshots?)

On a side note... Cauldron Born looks so...so very weird.

Well the later ones by Tina look much better (than the first two images on the main post).

Does it look like there's some slight arm traversal on the EBJ in some of those screen shots to anyone else? I know they don't historically have lower arm actuators, but it seems like the two arms are definitely pointing different directions in at least 2 shots. Not much... the outboard arm is facing straight, but the inboard one faces inboard. It might be a trick of the FOV they use. A bit "fish-eye." But I swear that's what I see.

Field of View issues with the camera man playing at a weird FoV to get screenshots sans cockpit and/or spectator cam issue.

It's the FoV.

They had the same issue with the Timberwolf shots and a number of others.

We got a free Polygon camo pattern unlock on all variants.

Naw he's talking about the EARLY early adopters. Which, got the free camo, as mentioned above. The Early adopters got the 4th variant. Then the Month 1 was the colors/modules etc.

Well, I have splashed the the full pack. Looks like I am going to be playing Clan mechs for a while and it has been over 8 months since I last played them.

Better get some cockpit time in before next week to get used to the differences. I will be shedding tears with every IS mech I destroy though.

Cheers
