Being a resident of PUGville, I see a lot of bad (and good too). I just tend to remember the good stuff and try and push the bad out of my head lol.
I'll give it some thought though.

Was conquest...i was in a NVA-B trying out some Clan Ballistics.
I spawned on Terra Therma with 2 Phracts (ilyas) and a Highlander (Heavy Metal) we proceed to epsilon where **** get hairy right off the bat.
2 Stk's a King Crab and an Ilya on the other team meet us there, we start blasting bits off...my UAC's are slinging lead! We loss one lance mate and decided to retreat and wait for reinforcements....
Most of them are LRM assaults and Mediums so they never really showed up but are spraying LRM's from the hill top down onto the enemy. Another lance mate goes down as we retreat further back into the crater.....trying to find something to put in between us and the enemy fire...an another team mate goes down. Not looking good...
I looked up and saw the cap lead was lost (340ish - 500ish) and we were also loosing the battle....time to turn this s%#t around! We charge! taking 4 or 5 of the beat up enemy with us! I die a fiery death in the bottom of the cauldron but the team is still pushing...running, shooting and killing mechs!
Once the dust settle we are on top 10-2 on the kills but still losing the cap battle badly! The remainder of the team scatters for cap points! Its gonna be close and the last cap is still being held by the enemy who is now at 730 pts to our 615 and climbing! A BJ and a Light race for Gamma only to be met by the last two remaining enemy units at Gamma! A fight breaks out and the first to die is the enemy medium! Only to show a TBR behind him closing in! The BJ turn to shoot but overheats a friendly unit JJ's over the hill to take fire from the BJ and finish this TBR off!
The last few shots escapes our teams guns! *BOOM!* The TBR is down!
Conquest victory.....We won on kills and they had 748 cap pts....Was the closet conquest game i have ever played and the closest game i have seen in a long, long time.
GJ everyone who was there to witness it!

Map: Tourmaline
Mode: Skirmish
Mech: TDR9SE(C)
Started out with our team taking and holding the hill where most fights ensue near the center of the crater. I am plinking away with my 3 LPL and 2 ML runnin' hot! The enemy team advances up the hill into our position and simultaneously flanks us through the narrow corridor behind.
A lone hunchback breaks our line and AC/20s our backs as we're attacking the flankers, killing more than his share should have been. We finally whittle him down to a single ML as he runs around shaving off small bits of armor. We leave him alone.
At this time the flankers start pushing up the flank. A Cataphract, Grasshopper, King Crab, Urbie, Myst Lynx, and the single ML hunchback is all that remains of the enemy, our side? A Battlemaster, Firestarter, and my Thunderbolt.
The Battlemaster friend of mine was instrumental. He put the damage on I cleaned up with 3 pinpoint bolts of LPL. The Cataphract died quickly, as did the Hopper. The firestarter must have made quick work of the Urbie as I didn't even see him go down. However, as we focused on the others the King Crab - a deadly mix of Gauss and laser manages to sneak behind the Battlemaster. His death was quick but managed to crit one torso to bright red.
At this point it's me and the Firestarter we're both hanging on by a thread. But all of our weapons in tact. We're got to push through a 80% health King Crab, Myst Lynx and the single ML hunchback. The Lynx wouldn't die, bolt after bolt he just won't go down while the KGC positions for the final blow. Finally the 3 LPL lands direct CT and he goes down only to have us loose the firestarter to an alpha from the crab.
I'm staring at this Hunchback as he annoys the hell out of me for what seems like 30 minutes. He strips me of an LPL and both MLs. This can't be happening, I alpha the rest of my weapons only to shut down angry as hell as I fall over a ridge out of sight of the enemies. As I start up I am now staring into the face of a KGC almost full health...except for the red torso. Just one alpha he could take me out as I am down to almost nothing. As soon as the start sequence is done I pull a full alpha again...knowing this is my last chance. The torso falls apart and the gauss explodes; the crab is done and the match is over.
The best: an awesome ending by a lucky alpha at high heat.
The worst: The enemy team not winning because of an XL crab.

My highest damage game ever was in a hunchback, and was similar in that they blew off my side torsos and ignored me for the rest of the match. Before that I had gone through several tons of srm ammo and pretty much took down a lance by myself just zigzagging between buildings and doing torpedo runs.
They did a slow advance over my teammates, systematically killing them one by one as they hid behind buildings.
But the entire time they were doing this I was behind them with my trusty head laser. It ended up coming down to my beat up stick and head laser vs a fresh victor. Didn't go well for me but I still put up a good fight. Tally at the end was nearly 1700 damage.

Our last guy is a Kit Fox. The enemy have 1 Centurion, 1 Atlas, and a one arm LRM no ammo Heavy Metal.
So they started all ganging up on him with the no ammo Cent and Stick Atlas trying to run down the fox through collision damage... Then the Kit Fox was legged. However, at the same time the Fox destroyed the only remaining arm of the Heavy Metal, with the lasers,
and all 3 big hitters on the enemy team immediately turned around scattered. Turned out they all ran out of ammo... AND they have no health left. Only seconds later, the fox could not find a trace of them.
we lost the match
Weirdest match out of the thousands I have seen.

It was pretty hilarious to watch those dudes in the all chat like "where is he?" while ours responded, "he's right behind you! he's chasing you! Atlas! AAAAATLAAASSS!" And then they still didn't turn around.
I was in the Atlas. I was giggling like a little girl as I made chase.

Both team is down to 1 mech.
Red team have an armless panther with no ammo for SRM.
Blue team have a catapult A1 with no ammo.
Both mechs have bright red CT internal and no way of killing the other mech except by ramming each other.
It was the most intense mech hugging competition I have ever seen.
But in the end the panther wins by jump jetting onto the catapult.

Thankfully the medium laser in my center torso hadn't been destroyed and I was able to limp away and fight on.
I was like that until the end of the match. (we won)

game mode: skirmish :map river city night
My friend and I were invited to a match with a 8 man of crows and picked up two pugs. I was running in a Thunderbolt 5SS qwerked 7mpl version. The match seemed moving along rapidly and very fast paced. Our team took a nose dive and we were behind on kills badly. However I was able to kill off 4 of the last 5 mechs to retake the lead.
The only mechs left were myself, one of the pugs in a panther with a single ppc(non ER) and the enemy team had a hellbringer that was wrecked with no arms but seemed to have gauss left in one of the torsos. I was completely wrecked, red all over. The hellbringer was in the lower city taking shots at me so I took cover behind the citadel center and walked up the ramp to see the panther trying to trade shots with him.
The crow players kept complaining about the panther, how fresh he was and what a bad shot he was and jk about his bad build. this went on for a moment and there was a ton of time on the clock. My team could not convince the fresh panther to push and I knew for sure a machine gun scratch and I would have been toast.
I got frustrated with the panther for not pushing as well and did not want to sit in the match for another 10 mins, so I started to just love tap the panthers legs with one mpl he just sat there and did nothing, So I figured it was all on me and started to walk my way back behind the citadel down the ramp. At that moment I caught a glimpse of the hellbringer moving around through my cockpit screen and turned to shoot at him, when I did I got blasted from up top by the panther with the ppc. He TK’d me and jumped off the top and into the water and ran for underneath the bridge to hide.
The hellbringer found him under the bridge, cored him and took off one of his leg, but at the same time the hellbringer ran out of ammo, then the hellbringer just charged in under the bridge an trapped the panther in between two pillars and at the same time the clock was winding into its final seconds. The panther was trying desperately to get away but the hellbringer just kept it pinned against the wall and pillars. The panther was using his jets, twisting and firing his ppc thats dealing no damage and the hellbringer was just grinding forward squshing this panther and the collision dmg killed the panther with about 2 seconds left on the clock.
To this day that is my favorite loss in a match of all time.
