Arms are also significantly lower than expected...because of proportions, they are almost waist height. This bodes poorly for those hoping for high mounts...

At worst, they appear to be at about the same height as a Mad Cat's torso hardpoints (excluding the A left torso), relative to the cockpit that is.

Also note that there is a very clear blank mounting box on each arm where a second cannon can go, which will be mounted a bit higher than that.

DAng, even with tall legs, that thing is like shooting the side of a pancake. I can see it in about a month, CB OP, Too good hitboxes!

....

Why would it matter? The cockpit sits vertically very close to the arms. Those side torso hardpoints are also not that far away from both.

It won't be able to poke like a Stalker. Those diagonal high mounts will expose enough surface area for most people to hit easily.

Hopes shattered etc...
Then the nerfs will hit later after bads get wrekd and complain "OP OP" about a mech they won't grind for :)

I know man, it's so weird, almost like they used the CB as the basis for the Bushwacker design....

Which, by the way, is exactly what they did, so go figure that it would resemble it so closely.

The side torso grills are significantly larger than I thought they'd be. Doesn't look like the artwork so much, but still looks cool regardless.

Well, on the bright side, this might make the CT a bit easier to shield...

Although I do think the concept art version looked quite a bit sexier.

Upon closer inspection, the black bits on the nose looks to be unique geometry

The caldron born saw service long before the bushwacker came around. Not sure when they prototyped it, but they couldn't get them to work until after they reverse engineered a vulture.

Hmmm that is the (I) invasion variant? Maybe the grills are smaller on the standards? (or vice-versa, whichever applies, lol )

Why are those side torso protrusions on the nose so long compared to the concept art..? It looks really awkward.. Almost like the ST's were arbitrarily made larger. Is that just the unique invasion geometry? Seems weird..

I guess they made those side grills that wide to contain that 3E hardpoints. If you put 3 lasers on the left torso, they will sit in a row filling the "grill". Just my guess. But it looks like that it only has enough space for two.

I thought that they were supposed to be shoulder-mounted? Or at least like 2 of them. Even that untextured render from the past has 2 shoulder beams.

....

True, I forgot about that

Maybe they changed their mind. Supposedly you want to put two large lasers on your left torso, where would they go?
  • One beside the cockpit, one above it
  • Two above
  • Two beside the cockpit inside the grill
Maybe that high mounted hardpoint would be only for missiles....

Because like the TW, which also has a CT mounted cockpit, it will expose all manner of shoulders and side torsos before the cockpit, then expose the entire upper body to fire arm mounted weapons. Given the relative profile of the mech, exposing the cockpit alone will give anyone access to all 3 torso hit boxes from roughly 175 degree arc in front of the mech...not counting above and behind the mech which would give you absurd ability to hit any specific torso hit box from almost any specific angle.

However, you would have to be min/maxing to care about that...otherwise, your average derp will wander aimlessly in solo queue in his pretty new shiny and wonder why his STs fall off every time he sneezes, especially when he puts a Gauss in the RT.
