With Computex wrapped up, all eyes are on E3 to see the next big set of announcements from game makers and hardware builders around the world. Prior toE3 a new video has appeared from Nvidia just days before it starts. Apparently recorded towards the tail end of Computex at a separate meeting place, the demo, titled MECH Ti, features ray-traced shadows and some new particle effects, demonstrating the power of the upcoming Direct X 12.
The naming of the demo is of course, no coincidence. It shows off not only the new visual effects for DX12, but also the raw power of the new GTX 980 Ti, which Nvidia recently debuted. Sitting between the Titan and 980 cards, it’s a very powerful piece of kit; reflected in its circa $649 price tag.
