It was always nice to see him in a movie (even a movie as dull as the Hobbit :P ). He made Heavy Metal in his nineties; that's just wonderful. As his wiki pages quotes

Agreat actor and seemingly also a person who enjoyed life to its fullest... shame that he wont have any stake in life and that his last ruling ring is no more.
