I don't use twitter, so I cannot keep up with the latest developments.

Tonnage will likely be TT: tonnage/20 for IS robots (80-100 tons is 5 tons) while it's tonnage/25 for Clams (75-100 is only 4 tons)
Phract 3L will likely be the first.

The Phract 3L is actually mentioned in the Object .PAK along with the other variants
Has been for a long time. Nothing for the Wolverine yet, but of course with LegoMech, it's no effort to make a new one.
Though, they might as well give the 1X the MASC, since they are otherwise identical. I think a LAA was the other difference?

How do you predict this mech being implemented in MWO?
Basically a carbon copy of the CTF-1X, but with MASC? I guess they could give it ER PPC quirks or some serious armour quirks. Other than that, I don't see what they could do with it. 2 energy hardpoints in the side torsos would be pretty amazing though.

it will have less quirks than the 1X because of masc though

Not at launch, possibly in the future.
It's hardwired for the time being.

Possibly just give the 1X MASC, but knowing PGI, gift store 3L.
Armour quirks seem to be popular as of late, so I guess that's a safe bet.

Yeah, I was expecting the gift store too. But if they just make it a CTF-1X clone with different quirks and MASC, then I think this will be the first Inner Sphere variant with the exact same hardpoints as another variant. True?

Not if you're only looking at hardpoints before any inflation is applied.
The Quickdraw (4G & 4H) and King Crab variants would have the same hardpoints without inflation.
The Quickdraws in particular. Same weapon load in the same spots, only difference was what was rear-mounted. And in MWO, everything faces front.
As for TSM, I imagine a way to handle it would be to bump the mech's engine rating up by the mech's mass while it is in the correct heat range.
For example, a Centurion would get 50 added to the engine rating, while a Jenner would get 35.
Of course, that'd make it a new mech tax...

Yeah, but I don't think this creates any options for the CTF-3L. If they add extra hardpoints, then it'll probably be flat out superior to the CTF-1X. It would be different if the CTF-1X already had extra hardpoints, which could then be removed on the CTF-3L to balance the addition of MASC.
I own all the Cataphracts in the game and I'll be buying any future variants they release, for C-bills. I just hope it doesn't render one of my existing Cataphracts obsolete.

Eh, no. That they ran hot is the reason they received heat generation quirks in the first place.
