After watching the MASC videos I am really looking forward to the Executioner. I like agile assaults. And I miss Victors. So the Executioner looks like great fun at least in solo and group. Kinda some place between in old Victors and old Highlanders for agility and armor etc. Now I just hope it has good hit boxes. So is it Tuesday yet? :)

It's a IS heavy mech with clan assault weapons. It should be great .

I'm like you that I like utility functions on my mechs and that's why (aside from looking good) the Highlander was my first ever Assault. Now the EXE got MASC which also increases its jumping capability, it becomes like the ultimate utility Assault.

I wish that they and the like (Mr. Gargles) could fill a certain role in this game. Maybe we should find one ourselves if there's one.

I dont think your going to have to do anything special to find a role for the Executioner. It can get in and out of cover quick so it pokes well. It can carey a nice loadout of with good range and alpha etc. It has good armor and speed and jump jets. It should be a good mech for solo and group play. I think its going to play like a big Victor that now has the range and fire power it needs to go with its agility.

I think its going to be a lot better than the Gargoyles.

....

I mean those capabilities (without considering EXE's weaknesses) may not mean much for an Assault in today's game aside from the fun and novelty factor. I know I will take a Warhawk over an Executioner for CW.

I hope that Mr. Exe can be a successful brawler because he's just made for it!

Notice though I never mentioned using it for CW. Not sure if it will work there or not. But pretty sure it will work well in solo and group.

I can see it working in cw for a 12 man comp team. 12 mech brawler builts it would.be crazy. For pugs clans like to snipe to much. I don't see this being a sniper.

I'm hoping the B right arm has ER PPC quirks. It should given it only has one hard point on it.

Keep hoping people 6 secs of boost isn't going to make that mech great.

Low slung arms , limited crits , limited tonage will far out weight masc.

Its more about the huge acceleration buffs man. I doubt I will use the sprint nearly as often as holding the MASC key for half a second here and there for acceleration.

I'm just happy that I saw a variant with lasers in both arms, which I pray means the arm movement isn't limited on it.

I noticed that seemed to be an elites Executioner, I wonder if the MASC speed is changed by speed tweak?

It looks like the Executioner will be able to slam with those JJs.

I think it will be a nice combo of features. A bit like a Victor/Highlander baby that has a Clan XL and can carry Clan Weapons.

And it doesn't have slabs of concrete as hitboxes!
