The problem is the total freedom of the mech lab its the route of all balance problems. Now mechs can switch and swop weapons , armor , electronics, engines on the fly with no draw back too how that mech was suppose too function. No attention too think about fitting a large laser in a medium laser slot with the energy capacitors set too fire med lasers so I think if they do it right negative quirks will bring each variant of each chassis into a more role they are meant too perform. While saying alright sure you can mount that laser but since that variant was not created too do so expect draw backs.

again I say if they implement it right*

Negative Perk=Glitch?

Negative perk is such an Oxymoron.
