Hi all, I saw a topic about the Spawn Camp and because I don't want to change the topic's discussion direction to design I decided to create this new topic.

Edit - To make it clear, I'm talking about the defenders camping their spawn while the dropships do their work for them with the ERLLs.

I don't do much CW because (and I know people are going to want to hang me for saying this but bare with me) the maps are too small. Vitric Forge is one of the few that are balanced on this regard.

This new strategy (spawn camping for defenders) proves my point. Why?

The spawn points for the defenders are too darn close to the main objective and the defending team will always have the backup fire from the dropships. So, more firepower, less need to move out.

If the maps were larger and the enemy drop points were behind high terrain without LOS to the main objective for the mechs or de dropships, then the dropships would only protect the drop points and said dropships could even be armed with 50 ERPPCs.

Another thing that bugs me, why do clan dropships use IS weapons? :blink:

Why do Clan dropships use IS weapons? Clearly because Clan OP Bra!!!

Have you played after this patch, because a lot of the maps have made it very, very difficult to spawn camp

That's not spawncamping. Spawncamping is camping the enemy spawn so you shoot them as they appear. You have to use a different term otherwise you'll just confuse everybody.
