All noble warriors of the house of Odin unit commanders have heard your calls for newer mechs to combat the clanner scourge that is fouling up our pristine worlds. Your ferocity in defending the free worlds and in filling the coffers of our unit are about to be rewarded. As with Odin’s blessing only a few of you will be deemed to be worthy of reward based on your merit on the field of battle.

Unit Commanders of the Sons of Odin will be offering 4 new Cataphract 0XP to the most deserving of pilots who achieve the following:

Highest match score in a solo PUG game.

Highest match score in a CW match

Most kills in a CW match

Highest Damage in a CW match.

Pilots (not accounts) may win in ONLY one category and so a win disqualifies that pilot from winning in any other category. Any ties go to the first entry received. To enter the contest a –SO- member must post a screen-shot of the end-of-match-summary in this topic. ONLY –SO- Members as of June 16 are eligible for this contest. Should the judge(s) suspect any unethical behavior or behavior that hurts the unit's reputation on the part of a contestant they will be deemed ineligible. ANY AND ALL DECISIONS OF THE JUDGE(S) ARE LAW AND THEREFORE BEYOND CONTESTATION. Awarding prizes depends on entries received and in the event that a prize is not awarded a draw will be made for any remaining prize from the pilots who entered the contest and have not won anything.

This contest of skill shall begin on Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 00:00:00 UTC and end Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 23:59:59 UTC.

This is an internal –SO- contest done out of the kindness of our hearts and not sanctioned, supported, monitored, mediated, hand-held, baby-sat or anything else by PGI – so don’t QQ to them for ANY reason….

Any questions may be directed to me or our illustrious president for life, Theaus.

______ UPDATE _______
GRIFFON 2N FOUND!

-SO- quartermasters have gotten their hands on an extra Griffon 2N which will be distributed to a current -SO- player who provides us with the most compelling battle-tale posted in this forum, as judged by the highest number of likes (ties settled by the Judges) and has happened during the period of this contest.

So, MEAD UP and shoot!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TO TAKE A SCREEN SHOT:
Press the print-scree button on your keyboard. Mechwarrior will load that image into your .../users/.../documents/Saved Games/MechWarrior Online/ScreenShots/ folder.

Then upload the image to any of the image-sharing web-sites that are out there (like photobucket etc.) and then just use the add image button in these forums.

Again, a contest based on personal merit as opposed to team work success.
No respect for the scouts...

does it matter when the screenshot was taken? is there a way to check how old a screenshot is anyway?

the screen shot should have been taken during the contest -- we are all brothers in arms so we are trusting that everyone will play by the rules. :)

No battle-tales so far...

I'm not a big story-teller and my english isn't the best too.
But there seems to be no competition for the Tale-Griffin, so i'll just give it a try. If only to motivate people to do better...

Its' truly a battle-tale!
The tale of a man overcoming bad internet-connection and even worse hardware!

Here comes the fun part:
Right now i'm using a NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT with 256MB memory (my 'backup card').
My old Radeon HD 4890 finally took her last breath...
It's probably 2-4 weeks until i will be able to install a new graphics card.
So i can completely forget CW for that time -
BUT
I found that after a warning
Posted Image
i indeed am able to launch the game! - MIRACULOUS!!!
I mean... framerates (~13 FPS ingame), screen resolution (1024x768) - way too overrated!!!

So from now i'll post my best games as a continuation of the tale!!!

And by the way, if someone questions my honesty (about my hardware and stuff):
in an earlier post i asked how old a screenshot may be - answer was, we all trust that everyone plays by the rules.
Thus i didn't post this ;)

Was way back in the Wub-Jack days - i loved it!!!

So i didnt choose the easy way!

GeForce8500GT 256MB Tale - Part 1

Thought i'll just start off with my former Wub-Jack (calling it 'Mediator' now  ).
Wasn't too bad, i even got a kill!!
But guess what...
Before the match ended and i could take a screenshot of the match summary the game crashed, forcing me to completely restart my PC because nothing reacted anymore...

Probably LRM's make more sense anyway with a system like mine.
But i HATE LRM's!!!

GeForce8500GT 256MB Tale - Part 2

Well, my only mech at the moment using LRM's is the Stalker-4N (my 'Nasenbär').
It utilizes 4 Large Lasers and 3 LRM5.
I was blown away when i saw the match summary for it takes me literally 3 seconds to really target something with my lasers.
Here is the screenshot
Posted Image
I still cant stop giggling

Guess it won't get much better so i'll get some much needed sleep now.

To be continued... :P
