If you owned a few hours of Dev time, what are some "easy" fixes you would have them make? Yes, I know there are bigger things to fry here, but I'm talking about little things that wouldn't (?) require much time and money to change. But would be more bang for the buck and make the player experience easier and less frustrating.
Some of mine:
1) lengthen the time each "game tip" is on the match loading screen. They flash by too fast for new players to absorb. I finally had to go to another website to read them all.
2) give us more spaces to name our mechs (I use formats like "3ML-8SRMa-bap c1"). Sometimes 12 characters is not enough, bump it to 14 or 16.
3) stop cutting off and resetting txt chat between screens. I've gotten so tired of trying to type something before it cuts me off that I no longer bother trying.
4) VOIP needs to show screen names that are talking pre-drop. They often blast annoying music and you don't know who to mute (or report for racist etc speech) because there is no display.
5) Keep the match results up longer. I would like more time to study what my team did and what rewards I got before it shuts off.
Anyways, I know these seem frivolous but I am trying to address simple things that could be changed easily. Please add any you think could be fixed.

Agreed to all, but (4) you can already see that. The speaker's "speaker icon" turns green when he speaks.

Replace convergence skill with something real.
Make the warehouse menu not move when selecting modules.
Unequip buttons for modules in mech select.
And then there are a bunch of things that might require some more time, like the cockpit screens still not working, but are non the less ridiculously overdue for fixing.

A simple cognitive walkthrough through all of the UI elements probably already would go a long way, if done correctly and with focus on usability.
Improve ingame chat (no cut offs because start sequence, allow scrolling) and implement quick commands/communications.
Skill system rework and quirk removal.

Invisible walls blocking fire. I think we all get annoyed at this one once in a while.

Fix minor glitches in the UI.
One example for a one-minute-job is the aspect ratio of mech pictures on the profile screen. Thats definately not what a KGC looks like.
Wonder how that made it through QC.

Besides that, bring back the "mech overview" for those that cant run expanded view in the new mechlab.
Also, add a wall of mechs with filters. Filters that can keep their last settings and dont auto-reset by default.
Make MM balance ECM between teams
Better font and sizing for mechlab. Improve scaling and make better use of space.
Should be possible to do in a few manhours.

These two are particular bugbears of mine, especially the text one. +1.

Add speed penalties for overheating. When heat > x your speed is reduced 20%, at over x heat then it's 50%, etc.
Add ammo explosion potentials for overheating. For x amount of time when heat is above x there's a 10% chance of ammo explosion (check for EACH ton loaded that still has ammo left in it ... excluding gauss ammo). Etc.
It really shouldn't take all that much coding to do either of those ... nor should it impact CPU use much.
People are always complaining about laser vomit. One of the downsides to energy weapons is they are hot. But regardless of what build you have there are NO penalties whatsoever for overheating over than shutting down and potentially damaging yourself from going over the max cap. But there should be effects that start to show themselves WELL before you even get to the cap. There have been MW titles from over a decade ago that had such effects modeled ... you simply cannot tell me we don't have the computer power to do it now.
Implementing effects like these would give a whole new dimension to heat management and builds used ... and would slow the game down a touch (which would likely also increase TTK slightly).
Also
Complete removal of all screen smoke and blur for any weapons that do 5 damage or less UNLESS they directly impact the head.

Once you have dropped it does. I'm talking about before that, in the lobby.

I die. Spectate mode, begin!
Enemy guy is dead. jokes are being passed around, n00b questions asked, what have you. I begin typeing a response. The team mate i am spectating dies.
my typing dissapears into the void.
GAWD I HATE THAT ****. Why is it, that somehow my chat messege is tied to the guy I am spectating? WTF? I can;t have my own persistent chat?
ALSO
Why is it, when I die, I can not go to my own stat screen. Sure it wont be fully up to date, BUT I CANT EVEN GO SEE HOW MUCH DMG I DID. Is it that hard to have it available on a tab or clicky button, even to go to it during spectate? I dunno, irt bothers me i have to memorize my stats at time of death or lose them forever!(until end of round)
