At the time of this thread that change hadn't been made. Didn't know it was gonna happen. Sorry. Besides, the changes to the mech aren't a deciding factor in the contest. How you load out the mech and use it is. A laser boat Adder probably won't win this contest.

Okay, let's get this party started. First off, the Man'o'War. Or, as it is called in this thread, the Gargoyle.

The mighty Gargoyle has been a long term staple of my CW mech load out. even the trail is a decent load out, for a throwaway pushing mech. I have of course Purchased my own, and mastered them, and redid my 'Goyle into a large jumpless, but better armoured Nova.


You may have noticed all that chat. Yes, I was trying to corral a CW pug team, with someone I know was on thier first CW drop (I brought them in an ran a NARC crow for thier first drop LRM boat. Good fun was had.)

One thing I love about the Goyle, is it can keep up in the front of the battle ball, and has the armour to lead a push. Kit it out like a big nova with lots of short range brawling weaponry, and you don't even notice the lack of tonnage. This goyle runs two CT ER mediums, four Er small and six Small pulse for a total of twelve lasers and enough heatsinks to maintain a decent enough rate of face melting glory. But it does run hot. I like em hot.

Yes, we lost. I am not the best pug wrangler out there. But! when I bring my Goyle, I'm often the heaviest, and many pugs will choose to follow where I lead.

Now, onto the real dark horse of my line up. The Orion...

So, when I first realized my New laptop could handle MWO online an started out, I may have been a bit naive. I was spoiled by the Shadowhawks, Banshee and Firestarters. See I figured since the game grouped us by weight class, I could game the system by picking the heaviest mech, thus gaining a slight advantage. Enter the Orion. I mean, look at those hardpoints! Only two lasers slots? Cant go energy heavy. Only one Ballistic torso? Can't dual gauss or anything. I couldn't really find a niche for this mech. I tried to brawl with it, Ac 20 an everything, but nothing clicked. I was even thinking of selling my orions after Mastering em.

But I had to master em first, would be a waste not to. So I messed around and on a lark made this monstrosity.



So, just a bit about me. I brawl. I like to get up close. See those PPC? Yeah, standard. See those LRMs? Yeah, IS. I figured I'd get scrapped quickly enough. Odd thing is, actually having to keep from charging into melee has done wonders for this mech. Sure, it still doesn't have hitboxes it needs to melee, but from range.... well now, that's a mech of a different flavour.




Best part is, that match, I ended up running into the light lance. And of course, ended up brawling within minimum PPC range with all three lights that match. Only alive thanks to the assistance of two excellent light pilots. My thanks to the Huggin and FS9 of that match.

Another excellent game. All brawling kills though, which I find hilarious, because I had to pick up the final blow with my AC 10, the only thing that works within 90m on this 'mech. But it runs really hot, so by that time it's all I've the heat for, but lets keep that secret between us.



I especially loved that final kill after the game gave me my death read out. Must've been an ammo explosion. You may notice the lack of assists. Yeah, I realized too late my teammates had vanished an I'd been holding that corner solo. Too used to everyone grouping up at that spot I guess, but with a standard 210 engine, it's not like I can just pick up an relocate easily.

Oh. Also, if you could tell me how to run one of those mech video thingies, I'd be happy to show off this build. It's a blast. I can actually run this one for the event without worry.

k, I like SMN more then HBR, here is some effort, still not enough, but i like the playstyle... (working on eliting the mech)

build is , 3x ERML, UAC20 120 rounds, SRM4 50 rounds for close combat, AMS 1000, 384/434 armor

I had few of the greatest Quickdraw matches ever, this past couple of days, posted a couple of them (2 - more average and 2 exceptional (for me) matches on the submissions' thread).

Kudos to you, DjPush, for making me play those games in my QKD-4G (which is the worst? variant of the Quickdraw) and not desperately attempting to master my Locusts (which i still haven't done), because it was bloody entertaining.
