Make each player drop with one of each class.. rather than weight limit.

That idea (1 light, 1 med, 1 hvy, 1 assault) was the first one PGI thought off, it was quickly bagged. Then the problem would be, that almost everone would drop in one 35t, 55t, 75t and 100t Mech each and all other Mechs wouldn't get used. Maybe the best would be both ideas combined, but therefore we would need way more chassis, especially on the clan side to outfit a decent dropdeck.

One of the main draws of CW is the drop deck choice. Make that more limited and its removing one of the best aspects of it entirely.
Having that freedom to take more than one viable robot is a big plus. Also forcing clan players to take the terrible light mechs and in most cases, mediocre assaults, that aren't hellbringers, timberwolves or stormcrows would be cruel and unusual punishment.

Actually I like taking three novas and a 'goyle....
Which I still wouldn't be able to do.
