This is a some-what similar situation, though I don't think there was ever any implicit acknowledgement that urbanmechs were a limited time offer and will never come back.

On that note, Urbanmech hero with 4 missile hardpoints when?

I am at the opposite end of the spectrum. The Urby was notorious for being the "Working-Mans Mech", due to it's simplicity and easy manufacture. There were so many of them that in times of war, they practically gave them away to anyone with a basic understanding of mech operation.

Thus, I believe every player should have an Urbanmech Locked to one of their Four Free Mechbays.

Forced stock loadout and you HAVE to play your first 25 matches in one.

Given that resources were taken away from further development of the core game (no matter how large or small those resources were) just to give a vocal minority with some extra cash in their pockets a mech that is absolutely nothing like the Urbanmech of Lore........I hope they put it out for C-Bills if for no other reason than to piss you guys off. :P

I don't really want an urbie, so I don't particularly care if it does come out for CB or not. Just seems like a really weird mindset that someone else being happy and getting what they want makes you less happy with what you have. Sorta messed up.

Nobody's going to say "I am totally OK with hero mechs being pay-only but not OK with a bad chassis being pay only". I'd imagine pretty much everybody would put both things into the same group.

I'm totally ok with Hero Mechs, which are a single variant, being pay only... but not ok with all Urbie variants being pay only.

It's honestly a terrible mech. I'd seriously consider keeping a Mist Lynx over the Urbanmech if I ever had to choose one or the other.

Urbs be better than Mist Lynx, and for what it's worth they're both my #1 and #3 favorite lights in game right now.

I would shamelessly and selfishly keep my Urbies for myself.

The Urbanmech really was something for old battletech fans. The others don't know. They don't understand. It is not endeared to them. It is not a mech for the unprepared.

Never. Only one Hero Urbie allowed, and it only packs a single missile hardpoint, in the CT, Depending on the version.

Don't hate the Game, hate the Player. Some folks can ball in an an Urbie. Same player not breaking 100 in it probably wouldn't break 100 in an Atlas, either. What slot would you rather have the incompetent taking up?

We Founders had put our hard earned money, sight unseen, on the potential for our favorite sub-optimal, minimally viable product, because we loved the underdog franchise that is Mechwarrior.

By your logic, I could argue that MWO should be Founders only. ;)

You could argue that every single mech should be cash-only, mechs only come out in packs now.

MWO existed before Founders Packages. Urbanmech did not.

But one could argue, MWO would have higher quality play if it were Founders only.

i think they should add another variant, and release that for cbills exclusively, but leave the others as a package only.

I think the Urbie should be availible for c-bills. Making the Urbanmech exclusive seems counter to the spirit of the Urbanmech.

Exactly as Bishop said, blame the player, not the mech. I can't stand seeing players doing less than 50 damage, feels like a waste of a mech, but it's also good to know that this game isn't pay 2 win based on the performances these people are putting out with their "P2W" Urbies.
