Somewhat disappointing that the A LT mounts don't triple-up in the overshoulder module, but was expecting that so hey. Lines up better with Ghost Heat on Clangunz anyways. Can take a Gauss and two cLPL without a care in the world and ignore the arms completely if ye like.

Could even strip the arms down for extra equipment, but since you have nowhere to put it except the arms you're stripping...well, better to keep some damage sponge, methinks. Heh, not what I'm going to be doing with my first Cauldron-Born - that honor will be saved for very different, rather closer to stock uses of the A ST pods - but it'll happen eventually.

Special geometry painted black may be nice on a mech by mech basis.
But you guys realize this means that if they go retrofit the old mechs,

The Founder's catapult's beak will be all black, atlas head will be all black, the battlemaster's shoulders all black. Urbanmech's entire chest will be black

New mechs coming out, wolfhound, black knight, will have black heads. because the entire head is unique geometry.

ore, just like everything else, this was a mech by mech decision, and um, the EBJ gets it, others don't?

Actually I like the black add-ons better because it highlights them so we get nice contrast. The same applies to weapon and weapon pods - they also should be in their original color (black in this case)

Agreed.

What I hate is that a couple years ago the forums were concidered a vocal minority... and we were told that there's a much larger population out there.

But two people give their opinion on twitter and Russ starts looking into alternatives.

Russ SAID he was looking, doesn't mean he actually is, maybe he's caught on to the fact that if you tell someone you will take their input and act on it on Twitter, it shuts them up and makes you look like you give a damn, as opposed to ignoring them and looking bad?

Personally, I like the black myself, it IS special geometry after all, it should stand out.

Where's that "you're on an island" attitude. If two people can get Russ to concider changing the texture on the invasion mechs, then think about what FIFTEEN people could do if they complained about the lack of elementals and tanks.

Give me textures for the nose part... you can have your black grill.

Its called camo for a reason. otherwise, why even camo if its hidden under that mask.
i like the unique geometry. But i want to paint it if i'm paying for camo. especially when the standard variant looks that cool with any camo

Nah both the EBJ and the executioner got it, i'm betting the other 2 in the back will too.

Its done so that the special geometry pieces don't have to be textured to match every single one of the dozens of camo options in game.

Resistance has noon painted areas to. Highly doubt we're going to suddenly see every stitchwort mech get the treatment

To be fair I "look into" stuff all the time at work.

You can see how they're slowly wearing Russ down with snide remarks. It's no wonder most devs don't get this direct with their player base. You almost have to commend him for trying.

Instead of this, I actually prefer Navid to continue "pester" Russ with his "Timberwolf's additional missile racks" proposal because they (the racks) do look ugly!
