Hello. I'm having some weird problems with the patcher. The patcher was downloading the patch and after a while the patcher window closed. The last time I was watching it was around 90% of the patch downloaded, so I guess it was completed, but did not apply the patch.

After that I ran againg the launcher and it started to download the whole game, all 8gb!!. I closed the launcher and ran the repair tool, and found several mismatch files (the non-patched ones) so I pressed the "repair now" button and started the repair. And then my antivirus started to show messages that was dissinfecting some files from the mwo directory. The exact file and message is "the file \Piranha Games\Mechwarrior Online\Bin32\MWOClient.exe_fresh.fef475c1447cf311221779199db1293f is infected with Gen:Variant.Graftor.189321". I restored the file because i supose its a false positive, but is something that didnt happened before. And the "download all the whole game again" is the first time that happens to me.

I'm still running the repair tool and it is downloading some files, but not the whole game. Let's see if this works.

Btw, the antivirus I use is Bitdefender Internet Security 2015, updated with the last definitions.

That does indeed seem like a false positive. The patcher doesn't argue with Virus Scanners, it errs on the side of caution and shuts down when a virus scanner gives it any reason to do so. But in this case the problem seems to be with your virus scanner falsely identifying this file (a quick Googling shows that the same scanner had also done so with other games in the past, reporting them as having the same virus). I've personally scanned the file in question (albeit with a different scanner) and it doesn't show any problems here, although you don't have to take my word for it - I suggest that you pass it along to the folks at Bitdefender and see what they say.

Hate to tell you, Microsoft Security Essentials caught the same file. I let it go. Now ripening the Repair Tool, so I'll have to follow up. Error log says Microsoft Antimalware has removed history of malware - Event ID 1013. Errors at the same time say ScRegSetValueEx call failed - Event ID 7006.

Edit - Update. After Repair Tool ran, game loaded fine.

Oh, well, seems that the repair tool is downloading almost all the game now (almost all the .pak files). Seems that I will not play until tomorrow, if all goes well.

Spoiler

Update:
The repair tool finished downloading all the files. I scanned the folder with the antivirus and it say its ok. Executed again the repair tool and it say it has found 1 mismatched file (liao.pak), I scanned the hard drive with chkdsk (just in case) and the HD its ok. Repaired and downloaded again the liao.pak and the repair tool keeps saying that the file its mismatched. Disabled the antivirus, repaired, same problem. Everytime I run the repair tool it say the liao.pak is mismatched and redownload the file. I have copied the entire folder to another Hard drive, ran the repair tool and the same problem, repaired and again the same file mismatch.

Tested the game playing some matches and works fine, I changed the liao camo pattern in some mechs and no problem (I don't know if the pak is the cammo pattern :P). So I don't know if its a problem in my computer, its on your end, its my connection, or what it is, but seems to work fine despite the file mismatch.
