Ebon Jaguar's stance has been changed from the one shown 5 days ago in the video about scale on this page: https://mwomercs.com/news/2015/06/1240-executioner-ebon-jaguar-countdown-5-days-left

Teaser video from 5 days ago where the before screenshot was taken from:

Why was this changed? It looked good, now it doesn't. Why show something that looks good, only to take it back on release day? I will never understand...

Probably because people were QQ and or asking for changes to other mechs to be squatted down some, since they unsquatted this baby that means some other mechs in the future are gonna get lower stance like the Mad Dog.

People whining that the CB was shorter than a Nova but was heavier, NOT FAIR PGI! Or did you miss all the QQ about that very thing?

So PGI raised the stance just a touch so people would stfu.

This is how we get nerfs, do you want nerfs?

Why can't they all just crouch a little better/more?

So you ruin the art for the sake of silencing QQ... Great.

It was very noticable from the first game I played, that these mechs looked awkward when moving around. Not at all like the teaser material we've been shown the week before release. Puts a sour taste in my mouth, that the art can be distorted in the name of balance when any other method could have been used.

Do you think the Jaguar even KNOWS how to give a ****???!?!

No.

It's the Ebon Jag.

It doesnt even know what you mean when you say low slung hardpoints.

Ebon Jaguars started a charity fund for mechs without Endo Steel because they couldnt imagine how heavy you must feel with a bone density disease like that. They had way too many Cbills left over from solo kills anyway though.

"Ruin"
Gameplay > Aesthetics, especially for a change that took pictures to point out the existence of.

Because whining.

The number of people who seem to be able to make decisions about mech performance without actually seeing it perform isn't a high one, but it's a loud one.

There were a few people challenging Russ about it over twitter, especially when comparing it to the Nova.

Personally, I'm not too put out by the tactical aspect of the change, as the increase in height isn't dramatic. I am wierded out by the decision to change it before launch though, especially if it was caving in to whining. Lots of people lambaste PGI for not listening to the playerbase, but lots of people need to learn how to be patient.

I could spot it at a glance when I first selected the 'mech. I just added pictures so it wouldn't be lost on you.

To anyone saying it is insignificant or unnoticeable; how is it then substantial enough to fix gameplay issues for content that nobody that whined had even tested?

They didn't have to change the EBJ they could have changed the others.

They can change the stance in 5 days?
Sheesh. Trying to get changes smaller than that is like pulling teeth.

I prefer the new stance, personally. It's pretty minimal anyway

I don't see what the big issue is personally.

As a neutral I find the the EBJ isn't at all overpowered, has a slightly more susceptible CT (over the TBR) and has 1 less DHS on a ton-to-ton basis.

If they raised the stance by a metre because they felt the need to, well then good for them because the end result is what the EBJ should be.

If you bought the EBJ when the scaling vid was shown but now you don't like the end result... well then I can't really offer any help to the mental issues that you posess.

Now PGI should go crouch down the: Warhawk, Nova, Dire Wolf, Mad Dog, Timber Wolf, Kit Fox and w/e other Clan mech in game currently has Chicken Legs. Also, the SHC when it releases im sure. Though it did stand kinda tall.

Why does timby needy a crouch? It's already got a great targetting profile.

Sigh! The whine brigade did their thing again, and PGI as expected caved in ... again. <smh>
