It's Getting So Complicated.

I really wonder what would have happened today if MASC was just added to everyone's modules? My hands are already cramped from the keyboard carpel tunnel edition of the game, why not add one more.
This iteration of MechWarrior has become a giant robot prostitution, PGI is the pimp and I have been playing less and less, it's becoming a $spam machine. The game is not becoming boring Russ, it already is. You have your Elites and I'm sure they are all furry and happy and then you have the rest of us. We are not happy with it Russ, you can twitter, you can have focus groups, you can elect player counsels that are corrupt from the voting process. But so far Russ, what you can not do is make MechWarriors happy.
And we all want happy MechWarriors. PM me Russ, I will be happy to have a focus group with you, in fact I know hundreds of MechWarriors that would, but not in town halls. Those are lame and run by forum warriors. Unless you want forum warriors to pay your bills.

You can always change it in keybinds.
For a new player it might be an issue, but any game I ever install starts with me looking at what the keybinds actually are. If they aren't sure, they can always ask in game also.
Unless you just wanted to complain about PGI, i'm not sure what else you want. I think you are REALLY underestimating the intelligence of new players.

Personally I blame the way the competitive community is right now due to the e-sports style focus and gameplay, certainly not from being too complex or too elite for the regular player.
The only real problem in terms of complexity is the lack of a proper tutorial. There needs to be a tutorial introducing the player to mech controls that's far better than that sad little tutorial we have now, and another one introducing the player to the basics of mech customization and the mech lab in general.

Sorry... this game is far from complicated.
Go back to playing Hawken if you want simple streamline robot shooting action

It is not just the 1 more button, and its not just the 1 mech that has it, its the progression to get it. I think that to me the worst of it is that I am completely misunderstood, the first 4 comments shoot down my concerns, My concerns do not matter and that is a huge point that is forcing me away from the game, I do not have twenty thousand posts, but I have been here since the beginning, I dont need thousands of posts to be heard. And the forum is full of boring as the game is full of boring and if that is Russ's goal, PGI's goal, then you hit it. 544 posts later and I'm completely bored with this.

Steam is where games go to die, its where they suck out the last bit of revenue they can get before they close the doors, is there anyone here that would compare COD and MWO and then say that they are equal.

We have two keys being used for arty/air strike, however only one can be equipped on a mech - how about combine the air/arty key to free up one key on the keyboard?

Maybe if there wasn't a cost association with it, it seems that any new addition to this game has one. I cant keep up with the cost of everything, I completely understand the concept of free to play and it is everything but free to play. being a gamer is expensive with hardware and now this FTP cost. I just spent over a grand to update my hardware and I can not keep up anymore. PGI throws a bone now and then but what am I supposed to do with 3 centurions that cant keep up. I'm really surprised that I'm not getting any support here. Why stay at all?

You should enjoy the game for what it offers. If you can't then maybe its time to take a break for a while. I don't buy the new mech packs and still enjoy what this game has to offer. I still drop in centurions the D and AH and have fun. Large engine, big gun and some srms. Hang out with the big guys until the fight starts then zoom around while they are worried about the Direwolf or Stalkers.

Well to be fair you're not making a very convincing statement that there IS a problem. In fact, reading the OP again I still can't find any evidence of a problem that applies to anyone that has ever played a FPS. Your rant starts with a fairly lame assumption that everyone is gunning for MASC, and that no one new is going to be able to figure it out. Then it congeals into this 'the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many'. Not making much sense to me.
It's one more keybind on 6 or so total mechs. They'll get over it
It doesn't take a seasoned gamer with top of the line equipment and 100, 000 hours of gaming experience under their belt to figure this game out. And I, also don't have 20, 000 posts, only being active for a year and a half. It doesn't matter. You can't hold everyone's hand. I for one enjoy an in depth game with complex mechanics and many variables. It makes for a more interesting experience. What it comes down to is either you'll hate it, or like it. Those who like it will take the time to get used to it and just enjoy MWO for what it is. Walking tanks shooting eachother.
