I play ALOT of UAC-5 builds from IS jeggers to clan DWF

My EBJ has UAC-5 and it seems to jam if you look at it wrong.

I have had it jam pulling the trigger/mouse button just ONCE.

UACs shouldn't jam ever if you don't double tap.

Anyone else notice this and if so how can this be fixed??

I haven't run the UAC5 yet, but I've run 3x UAC2s and 1 UAC10, and I'll get maybe one or two jams per game. It doesn't seem better or worse than any other mech for those.

Any mech or Omni not quirked for UAC jam % reduction, jams just like it always had pre-quirks.

Which means, they jam all the damn time, just when you need it most :P

Yeah, I think the few specialized UAC mechs out there with the reduced jam percentage have kind of spoiled me. The Enforcer 5P especially. It's surprisingly fun for a limited dakka boat.

That said, I've had lots of luck with a 2xUAC10, 4xERSL build. It carries a nice punch at short to medium ranges, and can use the left arm as a big shield. Fairly heat efficient too.

I am comparing the UAC mechs without any jam quirks and UAC-5s on the EBJ

Felt like it... Actually what I noticed was how often they *both* jammed at the same time.

Though I've found that about pairs of UAC weapons. Once you go to the 3rd though I find they don't sync up their jams as much.

I agree that it seems more jam prone than any other mech I've played and in particular with the UAC5s

Why don't you guys test it in the training grounds.

Guys with some tech skills pull open the objects files and see if it has any negative quirks. I'm at work so I can't do any of this.

I have noticed that my UACs seem to jam more on my EBJ (2 UAC5) than on my HBR (4 UAC2). Not sure if that's just false causality though. They rarely jam at the same time though which is fine, and I've got lasers as backup too (LPL and 4 SMPL).

This has been happening to me on a ENF I bought the other day; as my first UAC5 mech, I didn't know if that was intended. My guess is that jamming is broken at the moment.

It does seem so on the EBJ. Having run the exact same build on my TBR for months, it definitely does seem like both jam up (at the same time) way more often on the EBJ. Jamming without double tap as well
