is there any reason why we cant use the Omni-pods from the D variant on the wave 3 variants, but the D can use theirs?

I assume use or buy, because that was a bonus mech for early adopters iirc.the Omnipods for the D doesn't even show up for the other variants

So you have tried to strip D variants omnipods out of your D variant and then insert them to other variants?
That should work, If not then it's weird/stupid.

If they did, everyone would be able to buy them.

I'm assuming that they'll be available when they are available for cbills. Just like the reinforcement omni pods that were only available after those mechs were made available to buy via cbills/Mc. I'm only assuming tho.

This should be so obvious it's almost painful to answer:

The special thing about an omni mech variant is not the label itself (e.g. "EXE-D"), but the omnipods it comes with.
So apart from the fixed CT omnipod ("the mech"), the thing you buy it the omnipods.

If you could just buy D Omnipods in the mechlab for lousy CBills, then there would be nothing special about the early bird preorder and PGI would hardly make any money out of Omnimechs (plz don't flame "greedy PGI" blablabla, it's what pays their bills and keeps the game running).

IIRC from yesterday, you can even buy D-Arms for CB. Not sure if that is a mistake or kindness like with the Kit Fox C ECM-Arm.
The really special thing about the EXE-D are its side torso, anyway.
If you want to have those right now, you have to paysupport the guys who put their workforce in it to implement it.

I think the early adopter Cauldron Born is the C, there is no Cauldron Born D. It's prime, A B and C.

Can't get my arm actuators because of this. I was looking forward to playing it too. August is a long way off.

You can get actuators on the right arm with the Prime and one of the other variants, it's only the left arm that needs the D omnipod.

I know. I want ALL the arm movement though. Especially considering the twist range on the mech.
