Greetings MechWarriors,
Just a quick notice for Resistance 2 owners! The Art team have requested a bit more time to forge the Black Knight. As a result, we are swapping its release date with the Mauler.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for those of you who were looking forward to dropping with the Black Knight on September 8th, but we think the slight delay will be worth it!
The release dates are now as follows:
Black Knight
Original release date: September 8th
New release date: September 22nd
Mauler
Original release date: September 22nd
New release date: September 8th

No complaints here. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Thanks for letting us know this far out . . . you could have easily decided to stall it to the last second (with that hope things pan out) and that would have probably upset a lot of people. I think this level of notice and "better safe then sorry" decision is much better and more agreeable.

I will accept your compromise... maybe you could swap the Crab and Wolfhound dates while you're at it ;) I really don't want to wait until the Wolfhound is released last lol I paid for the complete bundle but don't really drive Assaults, I just throw you money for support

I think it odd the packaged Mechs are released Assault to Light, then released for Cbills in order of Light to Assault

Oh...Oh god NO!!!!! This can't be happening. I have plans. Plans that are not easily changed. You didn't even consider that I might have plans when you made this change. You didn't even ask. Oh, the humanity!

But seriously. Thanks for the heads up. Calendar updated. :)

The shield armor on some of these mechs would be fine....if they were counted as a separate component. Right now stuff like the big shield just makes it easier to hit that part of the mech. Whether its an arm or side torso.

PGI, can you guys increase the amount of armor on these areas proportional to the size of the shield to help offset the larger hitbox they create. And to allow them to be used as indented as extra armor. I know you did something similar to the Centurians (and probably other mechs), but I just wanted to reinforce the idea with you.

Monkey Lover's picture really hits you in the face with the potential issue caused by big slabs of armor like that. It freaked me out a bit....hence this post. ;)

Oh no. They are releasing the (ZOMG) Mauler early. How utterly terrible. I don't know how we will possibly manage.....

I question and maybe this is posted elsewhere - what's the story with August? Is that vacation month for releases?

Please tell me that you are delaying the Black Knight because you are giving it a sword and making it the clanbuster variant. :-)

So wait, what about the fourth variants which are released early before the other three? In FAQ, there's still:
  • Black Knight (Fourth Variant): September 1st, 2015
  • Mauler (Fourth Variant): September 15th, 2015
  • Crab (Fourth Variant): October 6th, 2015
  • Wolfhound (Fourth Variant): October 20th, 2015
I guess you should change that too, it would be kinda strange to get BL-7-KNT-L, then three Maulers and then MAL-2P and after that those three Black Knights...

that version of the Black Knight has the shield because it's from the ~3080s+. It's a form of equipment in the TT.

As for the announcement, thanks. I'm more excited about the Mauler anyways, the heads up is appreciated.

They have been :P Look at the Centurian's left arm. As well as the Raven 2X, and a few other mechs with shield arms. They have armor buffs in that area n.n

The Koala really should have come with a shield quirk for its right arm out of the box...
