Wha?? Have you ever run Clan mechs? I have plenty of IS mechs to deal death at longer range than clans. Our 3 weeks in clan space was nothing but timber / stormcrow / hellbringer / nova brawl love ... heck even the UAC10/SRM Warhawk joined in the fun. Clans are fast, maneuverable and the best mechs torso twist like crazy. Paired with MPLs / Gauss or SRMs they are brawl beasts.

Yes this does look like a legitimate score. Okay to be fair getting 2k and 10 kills in CW is not that easy. I hardly ever see anyone (PUG matches) getting 10 kills consistently in CW or scores over 2k. Maybe it is easy to get in unit drops, but still not as easy as you are making it sound.

Actually just the opposite. Well depends on the unit I guess, they must not be too good. The most important requirement in getting 2k+ damage is that enough of your team is much worse than you are. Preferably not too timid so you are not the only person enemy team shoots at, but they must be worse than you at doing damage. If everyone is top notch player, no one breaks 2k damage.
Second requirement in doing tons of damage is that enemy team is about as bad as your own team, but that is required for 3k+ damage games, not for 2k.

It depends on the skill of the player relative to the skill of their teammates and opponents. There's about 13k - 16k in damage needed to kill 48 mechs, so to get 2k, you're taking an above average amount. DemonicD3 is a good player in a good unit and if he plays with less skilled pug teammates, I'm sure he could pull down 2k without breathing hard. However, inside his own unit's 12-man, I bet even he would admit that 2k doesn't come along as frequently.
I get 2k - 3k with pugs routinely. When I drop with my unit, that number is more like 1.4k - 2k and I usually finish in the top 3 or 4. We spread our damage out pretty evenly.
Krivvan, OTOH, is one of the top 100-ish players in the game. If you go back and look at his screenshots, you'll see even he pulled down those massive numbers playing with less skilled teammates (and opponents).
So, no, getting 2k is not easy for an average to somewhat above average player. But for guys like Demonic and Krivvan what constitutes an "average" player is very different. To them, the vast majority of players look relatively unskilled.

I wasn't within 750 I couldn't tag him. I was tagging anyone who came far enough out of the gates.

No problem, I was in a pug and the enemy had pushed us back and I was trying to cover those who were falling back as I'd died and swapped to my lrm boat.
