NO the mastery bundles are 50% off the price of all the Mastery bundle content.
the Bundle has a set price in the Data Base and it is not dynamically generated from the current price of the bundle content.

Thanks for the answer. Couldn't remember if Hero prices made the bundles drop by 1000 or so MC

So just to clarify, are you saying that the actual bundle remains the same price in the store? In this case I should just buy the Hero and Mechbay and Premium time separately?

Loup De Guerre or Golden Boy any good for farming cbills? Which is better? I kinda want an LRM boat hero but I can't decide between those two.

ofmg yeah i know those moments >_>

Leaning towards getting the huginn. Event and some premium time shouldn't make it too hard to acquire to more 35 ton mechs...
Ember looks nice, but i'm under no illusions it always would be my weakest firestarter.

That said, i'm a bit afraid PGi might nerf that mech.

edit: Oh, seems like a got a 3L from some tournament. Cool, so it's the huggin!

If you get the Huginn, you'll already have the best 2 Ravens.

Then just pick up the 4X (more options tan the 2X). You can run it with 2 LLAS, or 2 PPCs, or AC20, Gauss, whatever. Oh, and it can have jump jets!

... does the the playstyle differs very much from other variants of their chassis?

Huggin and Grid Iron are unique experiences.

Misery, no, though still a great Mech and CBill machine.

OK Guys, so after not touching MWO for over a year I again had some real fun time over the last month, so I decided to spend some money during the current sale. But I need a heads up. Initially I was eager to buy an Ember, but I'm not so sure anymore. I would be thankful for your experience concerning the hero mechs I'm considering to buy. It will be either be

Ember/Huginn/TheArrow or
Ember/Firebrand or
Huginn/Firebrand or
Ember/Misery or
Huginn/ Misery

I like Mechs that can equip different weapon types to adapt to mutiple situations rather than boat certain weapon types. I also like Mechs that support different loadouts, so I can swap from time to time.

Ember: Initially I wanted to buy this one because I had some appetite for a fast light with jump jets and decent weaponry. However, after the MG nerf I'm not so sure anymore about this variant performing up to its cbill-counterparts, though I love the sound and feeling of 4+ MGs.

Huginn: A really interesting Mech, especially because I love ravens, also because they were the first Mech class I bought and mastered. The SRM-Build just seems awesome. However, the Huginn is strongly dependent of its quirks and I fear it might become an Underperformer again if quirks are changed. Also it is very limited considering its valid build variants.

Firebrand: I LOVE my Jagermechs, they're among my favorite Mechs and the high mounted Hardpoints are just awesome, so it would be logical to buy the Firebrand. However, there's not muc you can do with the FB build-wise that you can't do with any other of the cbill variants, so it kinda feels like a waste of money.

The Arrow: I also like my Blackjacks, as they are some kind of mini-Jagers, also with high-mounted Hardpoints. The LPL quirks seem interesting as well. Does this one play and perform similar to the other BJs?

Misery: I liked my Stalkers and I think I could also appreciate this one, but it's so bloody expensive. Does this Mech give you a unique experience that justifies its price?I read that some people love it and some really hate it. Can you equip different loadouts that perform equally well?

Which one is the most fun? Which one is good for grinding cbills? Which one is the most effective? And which one is the best combination of the three?

Thx in advance for your advice.

Agree My LG is my money machine. 4 LRM 5's 2 ml's and fast....so I can get out of trouble faster than I got in it. Lets just say I am very familiar with the North Fork Of S*** Creek

What about the Protector, how is it? Thinking of getting the Huggin and Misery. I have enough premium time that I can build up to buy other variants to master the mechs. For that matter I have the MC to get the champion mechs too.

Ok I checked for myself today. The bundle prices are not affected by any of the individual components going on sale.

I had been juuust about to get a bundle too! Now I will probably just grab the hero mech for the Bundle I wanted and the Mech bays. The premium time bonus would have been nice, but the availability of playing time is just too erratic for me (work + family) for it to be something I'll get seperately from a bundle.

Now I just have to decide between Firebrand, Protector, Misery or Arrow.

Okay... just bought my Grid Iron... this thing is COMPLETELY ridiculous XD How is this mech still a thing? Same output as a dual-gauss Jaegermech, with 8 tons of ammo, and even has a backup weapon! Complete madness...

Agreed. In my 3rd or 4th match with it (before this sale already) I was tearing up two assaults from behind in Terra Therma and some guy was accusing me of cheating - even after I told him to look up the GI's quirks and go figure...

I mean, it is hilariously fun, like my Hugin. And I guess I've never had a problem killing Grid Irons... Though, in a match yesterday the enemy team had 3 Grid Irons on Alpine.... There were no survivors... Those little ******** shredded our team... Then again, Yen Lo Wangs can do the same thing in a pack.
