Like the title says I'm looking at possibly buying a new GPU the one I have isn't very good, however I might consider buying a new CPU as well in the name of Performance.

I would like a range of 300$ or less, but up to 500$ is acceptable. Do note that I only want around 40-60 frames, and I would like thoughts on what would best achieve this in a cheap as possible fasion.

My computer:
CPU: I3 intel with 3.20 ghz dual core
Ram: 8GB corsair I think
GPU: some old GTX looking to replace this hopefully soon
Motherboard is something like this

I don't think it's the exact model but it's something like that with DDR3 RAM slots. There are in fact two slots of RAM left.

So what do you guys think?

need to know your current gtx to comment, but most likely a quad core i5 will be better for mwo than a new video card.. also see my article regarding using throttlestop to ensure your i3 is running at its max speed consistently.

Looking at that list; your probably going to want a new CPU; and GPU...but you'll also need to check your PSU for new GPU requirements.

MWO is heavier on the CPU so that would be the first thing to look at.
might in this case be best to look at high rated ebay listing for an I5 2500K; I7 2600K or the Ivybridge versions I5 3570K or I7 3770K I think they were.

An Nvidia GTX 750ti would be a cheap short term GPU upgrade that's relatively low power.
