Anyone thinking of daring to upgrade?
Not sure myself, two things hold me off.
- Not being able to roll back. Figure I would have to make a backup of everything before upgrading and if it failed, restore that. Not sure I want to go through all that for the first release, usually first releases of Windows are buggy.
- Compatibility issues with programs.

Firstly you can roll back,if your upgrading from 7 or 8. Just don't do a clean install until you've tested your most used programs

Give that the TP is currently pretty smooth, (i havent come across an stability or compatibility problems lately.) I think personally speaking this launch will be quite smooth.

First releases of Windows were a *little* buggy, once upon a time, but Microsoft has millions of people testing their OSes out prior to release, and that's been true since at least the Windows 7 days. W7 was so stable that it became my primary OS almost a year before release. I've been using W10 for almost a year, too.

GOG games seem to work for me, including those that rely on DosBox

Everything else seemingly modern works
The bloated drivers from my HP printer work

Shrugs, things seem to work as a gamer
DX12 only on 10

What if Fallout 4 supports DX12 and you get a "free" performance boost out of you're old hardware?
Any card from AMD with GCN and from NVidias gtx400 upwards are supporting DX12 (not new eyecandy though of course)

Icon Tray ( in which case it's hardly spamming as it's hidden) or the taskbar?

I believe there are two updates you have to uninstall if you don't want the notice in task bar... .DV has one listed for you, google the other one and it will come up. Uninstall them both and you are good to go if you don't want it.
