It has been a long time.

The game is pretty awesome. Has gotten better, has room for improvement though.

18 months.. lets see.

IGP (publisher) was bought out by PGI. PGI now owns the license and they don't have to get the OK from the publisher, making content developed and changed faster.
CW phase 2 is out... currently pointless.
New mechlab... an imrpovement, but still needs work.
A couple new mechs, Urbanmech, king crab most notibly..
Some new maps for CW. Solo queue will be seeing a remake for River city next month, and Forest colony is getting remade.
New Wave 3 clan mechs released this week. Executioner comes with MASC.


It's the same game you played 18 months ago, just with a few cosmetic changes. If you didn't enjoy the core experience last time, not enough has changed to make you enjoy it this time around.

It's now selectable when you log in, at the home screen click Titles and Badges. You can select it from there.

They didn't delete it. You can turn it off and on. In addition there's a bunch of other badges for purchasing other mech packages. I personally don't know or care about which one is which. At least with the founders badges you know they've been playing the game for awhile.

I've seen Founders with mechs that would make even some of the least competent mech jocks in the game cringe. Either there's a bunch that don't really play, or a bunch that despite playing for around 3 years are still epicly clueless.

I agree with you but majority are not like that. Generally I go with name recognition first and founders tags second when estimating how a match will be.

I go strictly by name recognition, Founders are just too much of a coin toss IMX.

Forums are the worst place to find out about current game play. Kinda have to go play and see for your self.

back in the day more warfare took place on the forums than in game.... it was the place to be.
