We all know these get shot off. Even http://gamedesignfan...213368700298881

Notes the huge benefits of lasers vs ACs, one of those being that a laser is far less easily knocked out of a fight.

I have a great leveler. No more will we need to rely on -25/50% crit chance in mechs canonically designed to sport AC20s. I have the solution. Are you ready?

Each weapon gets HP based on how many crit slots it takes. If I'd been owner or a playtester of original BT I would incorporate or advise the same thing.

4hp/crit seems a good starting point. Now, even if those lasers might be hard to hit, they are easily taken out if hit. AC20s and gauss easy to hit? Harder to take out. LRM5 rack spam finally has a reasonable disadvantage to LRM20 racks, etc.

its really weird to see a chassis that has -25% chance of receiving a crit just because of one weapon. If the hps were tweaked, that crit chance quirk wouldn't need to be there.
